Would you say that's heavy?
It is a bit on the heavier side for even a hardshell but for the money I think it is fine. If weight is important then I would just to go for Tosca soft shells around similar budget.
I would say the weight of these is fairly standard for hardside cases, if not on the lighter end given they are PC. You can probably get some lighter ABS cases, but they don't have the same longevity.
They are pretty much the same weight as the Samsonite Oc2Lite range (PC) (55cm - 2.6kg / 75cm - 4.1kg);
They are lighter than the Antler Clifton range (PP) (56 - 2.9 / 67 - 3.9 / 80 - 5.0kg).
They are also lighter than the American Tourister Curio 2 range (PP) (55 - 2.7 / 69 - 3.7 / 80 - 4.6kg)They are heavier than the American Tourister Airmove range (PP) carry on, but same for other sizes (2.4 / 3.4 / 3.2)
