Cheapest 1TB as far as I can tell.

Note: MX500 is the new model of Crucial SSD offering, not to be confused with MX300.

Edit : Sorry. Postage is USD$9.04 and not USD$5.89 as per blurb on the Amazon webpage.
So that would make it USD$225.10 which is AUD$297.90 (according to google).

This would have been the cheapest in the 1TB size.

But then again Crucial is a better brand. You get what you pay for.

I actually meant that it's the cheapest mx500. But was in a rush to post.

      • No worries. An easy mistake.

Crucial MX500 or Samsung Evo? or for most purposes does it even matter since both are good choices?

    • Both are good choices.

Never owned a Samsung Evo, but my Crucial M4 and MX100 are still running fine after several years.

    • +2

mx500 same **** but cheaper lol

    • Buy whichever is cheapest - they offer the same performance in real-world scenarios.

FWIW, I bought this exact SSD for $320 a few months ago to put into my new PC and I have been very happy with it. Its performance is noticeably better than my previous Crucial SSD which was an older model by about 4 years.

    • Neither one has band28 :(

    It's NAND!

    • And is that a positive or a negative?

      • Two positives make a negative.

  • mine says 309.69 delivered…. is it because of the currency????

    • +2

Yes you should let your card handle the currency conversion and not Amazon

      • I just checked and postage is higher than what is stated on the product page.
        I have updated the description.

And as per Agret says, Amazon conversion is not as generous.

The old mx300 at this price would have been even better. The thing had power voltage protection. They don’t make them like they did…

  • does the 500gb version on same seller is a good value ?

  • I'm getting postage as $5.89 USD for a total order of $221.95 USD. xe.com claims that equals to a currency conversion of $294.72 AUD delivered but that's before a bank currency conversion fee.

So that edit in the thread description is wrong. The delivery fee is indeed $5.89 USD which equals to about $7.82 AUD.

    • Strange. When I checkout, to an address in Victoria, it says my postage is USD$9.04

      • Yes strange as for me it's now showing $9.04 USD for delivery. I swear earlier on today it was showing $5.89 USD.

10% cheaper than Umart here. Question is how much is the local warranty worth to you?

  • Listed as $229USD for me, now - has the deal expired?
