    • Nope, box was unchecked so I left it that way and double checked the amount at checkout before I hit submit.

  • This is a good deal but how are people meeting the international call needs. Is there any cheaper options for that?

    • Use Skype or a cheaper VoIP service to call with your included data. Personally I just tell the other person to use WhatsApp and we talk on that for free.

      • agree the difficulty we facing are internet connection on other end. I wonder is there any long expiry international plans….don't mind keeping separate sim as the usage will not be that high…

  • Can I transfer my existing number and still get the deal ?

    • Yes you can.

  • If you need to port your existing number across to Catch Connect from another provider, please don’t cancel your current service. We’ll complete the changeover process for you. You can find out more about how this process works when you activate your SIM card at CatchConnect.com.au.

  • So this is equivalent to $5/month. Are there any better deal for calls than this? This is probably the best at the moment, only issue is 3 months have to port over to something else..

better than a monthly port out

  • It got extended:
For new customer purchases until 11am 6 June 2018 Sydney time, enjoy an initial cost of $15 for the first 90 days

I activated my catch connect SIM card, after 10 minutes my sim card with current provider got disconnected which usually means your new SIM card will be activated and good to go. but neither new sim card nor old sim card work :(

However after having a chat with Catch connect customer care, I found out I won't be able to use my SIM card for 3 business days which is very annoying to be honest.

So I thought I better share my experience with you guys and give you heads up.

    • What was your previous provider? Optus to Optus always causes various troubles.

      • I was with Kogan Mobile

Same here, Telstra to catch connect

      • Are you saying that you also experience no mobile service on your old (Telstra) and new (catch connect) SIMs during the porting process for 3 business days ? This is very strange and definitely not normal as porting involves Telstra releasing your mobile number only when Catch Connect (Optus) confirms that they are ready to receive and connect your mobile number. Furthermore, porting between different Telco usually is seamless and is an automatic process. Just don't see how this could happen technically.

    • What? Is this true? I didn’t think that was possible or acceptable?
I’m not going to get this if that is true for everyone

    • After reading this comment I activated my catch connect sim today even if I had 2 days left on my vodafone to be safe.
number got ported in 5 minutes

dammmm lost my 2 days :(

      • may i know from which service provider ?

  • I am currently with Catch Connect. Appreciate if you guys can warn me of any known issues in getting this offer by porting out and porting back into catch? Can Catch Connect (or Any Telco for that matter) classify me not a new customer because my number has been with them earlier?

Reason I ask, last time with Kogan I had few issues porting my number in for a new customer offer. They seem to know that my number has been on and off with Kogan a few times even though my previous provider was not Kogan. So then onward when I try to apply a new customer Kogan Mobile voucher, system says voucher number invalid. But I was able to validate the same voucher and get a new number.

Get a phone with dual SIM and buy one of those Telstra $70 365 day SIM cards then port your main number to that for incoming calls and you can use whatever SIM you want in the other SIM slot for outgoing calls/text/data :)

      • Okay will think about it :) Still interested to know if a Telco can classify me not a new customer because my number has been with them sometime in the past.

Couldn't resist the deal so got it. Just activated it and had a flashback of how bad Optus network was and continues to be and now regretting it. The coverage in ACT is horrible and I have never seen full signal strength. The internet speed is even worse. I dont think I can even theoretically use up 45 gigs in 3 months with the service I get here.
