    Much faster than SATA though. NVMe isn't 'cheap' but as its a premium product, but this is cheap for a fast NVMe drive.

      I get under half the speed with 3 x SATA SSD's (480GB with 520 MB/s R/W) in RAID 0:

      1,600 MB/s Read
      1,200 MB/s Write

      M.2 may NOT eat up much performance (dropping to x8 PCIe lanes…) GOOD NEWS !!!

        You have a couple of choices actually
        If you have an OLDER motherboard you can buy a x4 PCI Express to M.2 PCIe SSD Adapter,like the one in the 1st link
        Or if you have a more current mainboard you will see there are unusually a couple of NVMe M.2 mounts on the mother board, like the one in the second link. Its mounted ABOVE the slot for the MAIN GPU (Graphics card)
