The Elgato Stream Deck for $145 AUD delivered is pretty tempting too!

    • Saw that last night and will order before the flash sale finishes. Not a streamer but more programmable buttons I can use in other games and software. Been sitting in my cart waiting for it to go back to this price.

Elgato in spanish = "The Cat"

        so, wakandans speak spanish ?

      • +1

I should get it then, it's been years since I had my hands on some high quality Elgato.

Will this work with an Alienware 17 R4?

    • +2

works with anything that has a M.2 PCIe NVMe slot.

  • How is this compare to 960 Evo?

    • +2

The big difference is this is rated for 80TB of durability whereas most other NVMe NAND SSDs at this capacity have around 400TB of durability.

    • +2

Slower (but still really fast) and cheaper.

You won't really notice the speed difference as much as you would the price difference though. I recently went from an Sata SSD to an NVMe drive and the difference isn't even really noticeable. It's nothing like going from an HDD to an SSD.

      • +2

Sequential read speed is fast, everything else is very average. A good mid range SATA SSD (e.g. 850/860 evo) will beat it an all but sequential read speed, particularly for the small random read speeds.

      • Would it be noticeable on Windows 10 boot?
I move from SATA 2.5" SSD to NVME and I feel the difference when waking up from Sleep or Hibernate

512GB model is 153 USD as well, closest is staticice $272 9didnt check but probably out of stock), ebay $316 (without coupon)

    • Yeah it's already in my description ;)

      • Oh shit der me.

  • Purchased, thanks. Starting to collect the bits to rebuild/replace my ageing Intel i5-3xxx system. Now how about those H370 mobos we have been waiting for Intel?

    • +4

      why no ryzen?

      • Its not a gaming PC, im more than happy with Intels performance/reliability.

        • -3

          Don't forget everything works-a-bility.

        • +3

If its gaming PC then you get an Intel CPU but for media consumptions, high end workstation then Ryzen wins hand down when it comes to performance per dollar (8 cores 16 threads vs 4 cores 8 threads of the Intel CPU)

@Wolfofwallstreet: Except that some stuff doesn't work.
