A very good price, in my opinion, better value than on Qantas store which is 2000 points + 196.63 and Bose which $249.00.

Additional 1% cashback via various cashback websites, brings it down to about $201.96. Pay extra 5.33 and save 2,000 Qantas points.

    Aww *&(^% i just bought the QC35's

    • They’re a model up tho aren’t they?

      • yep but they are also bluetooth, where these are not i don't think

        • correct, the QC 25s are wired. not super clear from the thumbnail…

        • +5

@harro112: you can use the noise cancelling feature wirelessly if you’re not keen on listening to stuff, but these are cheaper

        • @muncan: lmao

        • @muncan: stick a pair of xiaomi earphones underneath = bose killer.

      • Yeah but in terms of noise cancelling properties its about the same.
I only need them for my flights

Awesome price. I think I got mine from Shopmonk for $229 a long while ago.. this is best price that comes to mind.

Not bluetooth, but runs on AAA battery - so never run the risk of flat batteries mid flight!

Unless you forget to bring a spare. At least you can recharge the 35's inflight with a USB power source.

      • +1

You can also use rechargeable AAA batteries and charge them inflight. Instant 100% and no need to plug your headphones inflight. After several years, you won't have to deal with dying non-user replaceable batteries, either.

        • yup pack all your eneloops and chargers for your trip overseas :D

The delivery period shown is too long for me unfortunately. In cart it says standard postage delivery from 7th June which is too late for my upcoming trip. There was not any option to pay extra for expedited postage sadly.

    • Agreed, shame because i was going to cancel my other order but i'm flying out before then =(

    • The qantas ones arrive pretty fast.

  • Is the noise cancellation on the QC25 exactly the same as QC35? I only fly a few times a year so don't mind the corded aspect, just want the best noise cancellation.

Various reports from users and even bose shop representatives said that the NC components in both qc25 and qc35 are the same.

I have a qc15 and tried my colleague's qc35 ii on the same A330 flight. Literally the lowest NC setting of qc35 is same as what the qc15 can achieve.

      • I also have the QC15. It annoys me somewhat that the only way to get any sound through them is to have them turned on. I don’t always need the noise cancelling function.
It annoys me even more that they stopped working completely after 2.5 years. During those 2.5 years, however, they made long haul flights between Australia and the USA (sitting in cattle class) more bearable than it had ever been before.

I've had both. Can't hear any difference.

    My heart skipped a beat for sec…thought I saw QC35 and $204!

Meh. These sound the same, noise cancellation runs off a standard AAA battery that you can swap out, and they're wired, so you can plug them into a proper DAC/Amp. So, at any price, they're a better buy than the wireless option.

That is, if you're happy to prioritize noise cancellation over sound quality - there are obviously much better headphones at this price if you don't need active noise cancellation.

      • I like Bose for their NC but I chuckle a little bit seeing your comment about plugging a bose into a DAC/AMP :)

For myself, the internal non-swapable/non-replaceable battery in QC35 bascially just killed the deal. Even Bose itself has no official replacement plan if the battery is dead.

My QC15 which feeds with my army of eneloop had been servicing me for the past 7 years and I highly doubt the QC35 can do that.

      • Bose sound like ass. A DAC/Amp won't do anything for you.

That said: their noise cancellation is like magic, and I love my QC35's dearly.

        • Surely they have "Better Sound Through Research" (TM)?

But seriously, if I want noise cancellation, I just put in some Etymotic IEMs. You can't get more isolating than a literal earplug with a great-sounding speaker in it.

  • Imo this is the price they should be. Good buy for anyone who only uses them for flights. Otherwise, I'd strongly consider the sonys for everyday use

  • For me if it is not wireless, it is useless. I have the Bose SoundLink On-ear Headphones which is wireless, not bulky, foldable and with up to 15hrs playtime. Perfect for travelling.

    • good luck listening to in flight entertainment with your wireless headphones (and praying for in seat USB charger half way through your 12 hour flight)

  • I own the QC25 and have used theQC35 as well. If you make phone calls on these the QC25 are way better due to the wire. Overall bang for the buck QC25 is the better value if you have headphone jack :D

    • +1

I am so used to our world of wireless that I hate cables all together.

    • Why is the wire better for phone calls? My QC35's work just fine for calls.

      • It might be because the mic is on the wire and you can move it right next to your mouth. That way you don't have to talk as loud.

  • How about the QC 35 II on sale for $368? $364.32 with cashrewards. Good price?

  • I used to wear NC headphones 🎧 when flying ✈️ but when I replaced it with earplugs 👂 I was surprised how much more comfortable it was than the headphones 🎧.

    • Cool, so have you tried NC earphone or juat went straight to earplugs?

  • I really enjoyed the comfort of the QC35s when I tried them on in store but I like the price of these much better so I bit the bullet on these. Is the comfort level the same, especially with the ear pads?

    • +1

Videopro were out of stock and they're discontinued so I got to upgrade to the 35s for an additional $100. Very happy with that service!
