      some great pieces in there!

  • awesome prices, they had doc brown for 5$ was hoping to get marty mcfly too :( sold out i suppose

    • Marty mcfly's been gone for a while, my kids wanted it last week; best we found was $24 delivered on ebay.

Saw Big W had Teen Titans for $12 thinking that was pretty good but happened upon $9 at EBGames, in store only - https://ebgames.com.au/ps3-231212-LEGO-Dimensions-Team-Pack-…

    • +1

really wished they also brought in cyborg TT version and robin

      • If you use Robin or Cyborg from the other sets, you will play as the Teen Titans version in the Teen Titans game level.

    • Nice, but it looks like it's not in stock anywhere except 4 shops around the country (since it's EB, those ones may also be out of stock, too, but their stock system is just not up to date).

No stock of the Xbox One Starter pack. Damn. Kids love this game but I don't know how much life the PS3 has left in it, and finding Xbox One starter packs is proving difficult.

    • isn't the game portal thing compatible with the xbox one? you just need the disc or download the game.

      • +1

The platform should be compatible, but there is no digital download for the game to my knowledge

      • Nope, MS are a-holes and insist on certified peripherals, so there's always an Xbox specific portal for things like this (and Infinity and Skylanders).

Plus as DrunkTechSupport said, I also need a copy of the game.

        • Yep correct, can't even use xbox 360 portals on the xbox one or vice versa.

          IM NOT ASSOCIATED!!!

    Thanks OP.

Ive never quite understood what lego dimensions was…….noob i guess

    • A hybrid between Skylanders and traditional TT Lego games, but the gameplay tends to suffer due to an over-reliance on the centring puzzles around the use of the portal.

But it also has some amazing licenses that had never been in Lego before, Portal (as in the Valve game), Knight Rider, Beetlejuice, Dr Who, Mission Impossible, Midway arcade games, Beetlejuice, Gremlins, The Goonies.

Theyve been doing this pricing on dimensions for months. I just went to big w thinking finally theyre clearing them at $5 mark after glancing this. But as for the past few months most are only a few dollars cheaper. I wasted my time.

When the single packs are $2 each and the big packs are $5 each then its worth it.

    • It might be worthwhile for the minifigs that will never likely see a proper set.

    • Story packs have never been $13!… they've been $22 down from $35. Also Sonic & Mission Impossible level packs are usually on sale for $12, never $9. So these are all cheaper than previous prices.

Just because you jumped the gun and got in the car before checking prices online doesn't warrant a neg on the post.

Theres about 50 story packs no? How many are $13? Most werw still at $20 when i went in today and have been around that price for months its not that impressive but clearly you are really impressed and im not having a go at you for your over enthusiasm for a price drop a few bucks. I still dont think its good ebgames is clearing the startpack with 3 figs.. game.. portal.. for $19. $3 reduced price doesnt count as a worthwhile bargain for me.

If all the story packs were $13 then id be as excited as you are. But the ones i want like adventure time still are pretty similarly priced as they have been for months

Sorry im not as giddy over the current pricing as you

  • Good to see Anakin stuck in the middle of those pages…

  • Jumped on the Ghost Busters & Fantastic Beasts Story Packs. RRP is around $65, BigW rrp recently has been $35, every 2nd week on special for $22 save $13. But at $13 bucks down from their usual $35. Awesome buy. Couldn't buy a normal lego pack with this much lego and minifigs for $13. Great post

    • same here i brought the ghostbuster pack when it hit 22$ consider that the lowest it's ever been without taking into account the lego website glitch/crazy sale.

      • Out of curiosity, when & what was the Lego glitch? Did they honour the sales?

        • most people though it was a glitch as the lego store had them at half price or 80% for the some newly released sets. Even with 30$ standard postage most people stocked up and you saw heap being offloaded to resell on the forums and other buy sell sites.

        • @godofpizza: Interesting, thanks.

  • I grabbed both story packs and 3 level packs - my local store didn't have the sale prices marked, so there were still plenty left and they scanned at these prices.

  • I got the following

    Ghostbusters Story Pack
    Ghostbusters Level Pack
    Teen Titans Go Team Pack

Was gonna get some more sets like Doctor Who Level Pack, Powerpuff Girls Team Pack but resisted ;( hahaha

Pity the Batman Story Pack was $39 on sale???

The starter pack, for xbox 360 , is $19 new from eb games (down from $79.95) .
I didnt look for any other deals, as my nephews only have a 360.
    https://ebgames.com.au/xbox360-202706-LEGO-Dimensions-Starte…
Edit: same price for wii U ,
    https://ebgames.com.au/wiiu-202895-LEGO-Dimensions-Starter-P…
Can anyone comfirm if the starter pack is any good on its own ?
And I do need the starter pack right, to do anything at all ? ie. I cant just buy the story pack etc can I ?

    • +1

Yes you need the starter pack to do anything. It's playable on it's own but tempts you constantly with "if you only had this add on character". On the whole I'm very disappointed with Lego dimensions, it's incredibly frustrating to play for my 7 year old (who loves Skylanders) and even I've sworn at the damn game. I'd argue it's for 12 and up and kids who have a lot of experience playing Lego games before. The directions for players are non-existant.

IM NOT ASSOCIATED FOR THE LOVE OF…

      • Drat, I wish I'd seen your review earlier, before I popped in and bought one on my way home.

        • I'm a huge fan, my 7 year old and I love it. Characters add new levels and can also be used in the base game - by the value is in the story packs when they are on sale as you get a lego kit to build, new characters and basically a side game, I think we clocked up about 100 hours on the base game alone so I really think its great value. You can also unlock characters you dont have (for very short time limits) by spending the coin you earn in game, so if you get stuck it is possible to "rent" the character you need to make the game easier.

EDIT: Also the frustration can be avoided by simply youtubing the level you are on if you get stuck, it wont ruin the game experience but will help you get over some seemingly impossible parts of levels.

        • @jason101: cheers for the update :)
