    there are. few variations of these kicking around, the difference being if it has a metal body vs plastic body …. the metal body ones are good, the plastic ones are not so good ….. got some of ebay sellers who claimed metal but arrived as plastic ….
    got my metal ones at david jones for $15 last year ….. and the DJ ones were copies of another company.

    these have been copied by several companies hence the variation in quality metal vs plastic body.

    the ones in the picture look like the plastic body version looking at the clip .

    troika designed the original ones in metal and they are the most expensive, then monteverde copies troika, now there are a few companies that do them .

      The first one of these I ordered took 80 days to arrive (I guess it went around the world?) from when they actually sent it.
      I'd ordered another when the deal popped up again and it took 30. Had a bunch of other orders from them arriving anywhere in-between, but so far everything has arrived eventually.

        same , they quote typically up to 45 business days on some items ….. that is 2-1/2 mths if you count weekends ……

        every once in a while a $1 cable arrives in the mail, or a pen, or a pi case , etc.

        if you need something in a hurry you do need to check delivery times and posting options,

        lots of the ebay stuff now seems to arrive. 2-3 weeks …..

          Bit dodgy quoting 45 business days when it's actually 9 weeks = 63 days = more than 2 months.

      yes, but I feel less lonely and happy when I find something in my letter box I forgot I ordered …..

      Perfect for people in old folks homes who need something to look forward to … more chance of a surpise parcel than your kids visiting and it's cheaper to get stuff from Zapals than to give money to your kids ….new meaning on "spending my kids inheritance …on Zapals"

      They inherit boxes of Zapals stuff as you reverse mortgaged the house they hoped to inherit.

      for $1 per day you can have a surpise arrive and can compare it to what the other retirees got while you enjoy a cuppa in the common room.

      I bought a heap of those aaa led torches when they were $1 each from gearbest I think - they're really good. I'm picky with the stuff I choose, but so far so good. A lot of chinese stuff has really improved in quality and materials used. I believe we're in that sweet spot where quality etc is up but prices are still low.
