Would have taken it but the time frame is not quite what I expected.
    But free is free..

they used do sit down tech updates in melbourne but i haven’t seen those for a while.

Azure also provide inline free training, aws seem to guard their course notes to the point that if you attend a course, you register your with your email and it water marks the course notes if you print them so you don’t pass them to others.

azure course notes reader used to limit you print 10 pages at a time.

gone are the days where you just got pdf files , now it’s done via proprietary readers / bookshelf’s / water marks.

big challenge for beginners is do you invest in learning azure or aws ?

aws seem to guard their course notes

If they gave it out to everyone then they would lose their main source of revenue: unintended charges.

    • "gone are the days where you just got pdf files , now it’s done via proprietary readers / bookshelf’s / water marks."

Thanks for your input / feedback, wasn't aware of this.
Was hoping to look into some kind of training over the coming months, have you decided where you're going / what you're doing?

I continue to hear AWS and Azure are worth good money.

  • Is there any option to download the videos for offline viewing?

    • There's always the option to "capture" the video for offline viewing

After the course you can fill out a survey and they send them to you

      • I was wondering how you knew this… then about 2 min into the introduction was like Oh, that's how haha

        • Doesn't even look like you need to watch those videos. If you go to the feedback form straight away and just fill it out it looks like they send you a cert and the videos anyway!

  • How Long would it take to power through the course out of curiosity?

According to their email.. Duration: Keynote and 5 Modules over 3 hours 40 minutes

    • There is 5 Modules, 3 of them are about 30 minutes, 2 are about 40 minutes

      So about 3 hours

  • Is the confirmation email received immediately?

    Thank you, kind sir.

  • Good find OP! 5 modules in 2 days, never done this before 🤞

  • Business email id means no gmail id?

    • i used my gmail. and made up the rest of the details.

      • Guess it got ozbargained. Did not receive the link.

        • I just submitted mine and got the link in about 5minutes.

        • It took about 7 minutes for my link to arrive (gmail id as well).

        • Check your Junk Email - mine got put there for some reason…

I just finished the videos. I had them play in the background (without me paying attention to them). I filled in all the various questionnaires, including the Feedback Form on the main-page. I haven't received any link to do any offline downloads (as yet). And it says "You’ll receive your certificate of attendance within 7 working days after watching the 5 modules.". I haven't got that yet.

(I guess I'll have to find some time over the next two nights and watch them properly)

    Just a FYI

    • I wonder if they can be put on youtube.

    • The event is tomorrow. How did you watch this today?

I attended similar event related ML and they offered free credits that time. Not sure if they are offering this time or not.

Oh wow …. wasn't sure if this is a deal..! I receive free training webinar emails from Google, IBM, Microsoft, AWS, Atlassian, Salesforce, Cisco, Oracle, Xerox and many others every other week. Gotta start posting all those free webinar training deals.

        thx paul11 :)

  • Never received the webinar link, using gmail address, neither in junk

  • Thank you

  • Registered yesterday, checked my gmail and spam again this morning still no link.

    • Try to register again and see if allows to reregister with same email id( may be some issue while registering) or try different email id..

  • Try the following link, I just got it from AWS

    https://pages.awscloud.com/awsomedayonlineconference-reg.htm…

  • Its just an extended sales pitch. People use to pay you money to sit through those just a few years ago.

    • I'm not impressed. Why is this live? It seems to be replaying some presentation from last year.

  • Completed the content (including surveys) but havent received any participation email or anything. When did everyone else’s come through?
