Black&Blue Racing Chair $119 Delivered @ Kogan

70

Have used 2 of the below chair from Office works in the past. This is cheaper and seems to have better wheels and more padding, which were the main annoyances with the old one. Enjoy.

Similar chair @ office works $149

UPDATE - cheaper with code PRACTICAL https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/380878 $101.15 @ https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/OVERDRIVE-Racing-Office-Chair-Se… thanks to stuhtb

    • I can't speak for this brand, but I wonder if brand plays a part and/or upkeep.

The chair in those images is 2.5 years old. I got a PU leather gaming chair from AK Racing in November of 2015 and I use it quite a bit and it looks as good as the day I got it. I got it on sale for $149 and it's been fantastic for long gaming sessions.

    • I can't believe OSIM also use PU leather for that price. Those office chairs from Officeworks last longer.

Cheaper here with the code PRACTICAL

The Kogan vouchers are back, however now with a significantly higher minimum spend, so you can’t use them in this deal.

    • thanks

  • Not sure about these chairs, but normal type office chairs available from office works/ebay etc seem to have the gas leak over a short amount of time say 2 years. Can anyone recommend a good office chair that wont break the bank? PU Leather will always rip eventually so you are prone to get a seat cover/cushion - the question is the quality of gas lift cylinder.. thoughts appreciated.

Heres one a little cheaper regarding this deal

The Markus is supposedly excellent - I haven't tried it though: https://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/50137208/#/20261…

I've got one and it's pretty good considering I use it from 3-9 hours a day. Obviously not as good as some higher end chairs and I would like finer leaning settings. Otherwise it's pretty good.

      • No arm padding kills the markus for me, I always rest my arms on the arm rests while working/gaming (also the price difference)

  • PU leather, avoid.

  • Bought a few months ago for $88 from one of the 20% off eBay deals. Has been fine but the raised middle part on the seat is a strange design and feels a bit weird.

    • Some folk might like that feeling.

    • Yes. It actually looks like it would reduce comfort.

  • Will this chair make me type faster?

    • This is designed for racing lol ….

      • racing in carmageddon, quarantine, etc

  • Bought it to put in my Golf GTI (minus the gas strut and wheels). Should be good for an extra 10kph.

  • Does this chair recline? I can't seem to find anything in the description and can't tell from the images. Cheers

    • will report back in 3 days

  • Bought similar chair from office works, within a year the PU started cracking and peeling decided it was the last pu chair i’d ever get. Now reused the same base and gas lift (leaked) to mount a recaro. Alcantara is the best thing ever

  • I bought one of these about 2 weeks ago for the kids and bought myself a Secret Labs Titan. I swear the kogan is 10 times more comfortable. I can barely sit on the titan for more than an hour before legs get pins and needles. Not happy at all.

    • Can you lean back in the chair? In a way where it will recline with you? Can't find anything in the description to say it will do that, cheers
