Best Domain Registration Please?

Hi all,

Trying to register a new .com.au domain. So many websites/company out there.

Anyone care to recommend a website/company for the price/ease of use/reliability?

    Go Daddy has ok prices and great support. Had better support experience with Go Daddy than Crazy Domains.

      Do not touch Crazy Domains (terrible registrar).

      Run as fast as you can from Go Daddy (terrible registrar).

      namecheap.com is where it's at.

      My experience with GoDaddy was that the domain itself was fine, but when you try to cancel you're subject to a deluge of emails and even un-solicited SMS messages (which do not conform to AU privacy laws) trying to get you to reconsider or offering you other products and services.

        Go Daddy are (despite their market share) a dodgy bunch of {insert expletive}.

        Do a Google search for why people hate GoDaddy. I've personally been bitten by them https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/359860#comment-5617568

        A domain is a domain - it's the companies behaviour that's going to differ.

          Never had any issues with Go Daddy. Most of my clients are connected with Go Daddy. Changing your DNS is also quite fast whereas Crazy Domains took nearly half a day to propagate.

      Thanks. Sounds like these few are a bit hit and miss.
      Wouldn't mind paying a bit more for reliable service.

      Seconded. Reasonable no nonsense pricing, particularly with renewals, good support, and an Aussie company too.

      I have used maybe 15+ registrars over the last 20 years, and now most my domains are with VentraIP (around 50 of them).

    Mine are all with VentraIP. Never had a problem.

    VentraIP is good @ $12.48 /year
    Their sister site is also good, Zuver @ $11/year

    The standard recommendation I make is VentraIP. There great In this case go with there budget brand Zuver to save a few bucks.
