  • A bit overpriced for a Chinese product. Better off getting something like a bluedio T Energy.

    • +1

      Bluedio is a Chinese product…

      • +4

But priced more appropriately is his point.

    • It is a Chinese brand. However, most of the electric devices including iPhone are made in China.

I think the point da1andonly was making is that this product is expensive for a chinese product is if you're going to buy Chinese, may as well be cost effective

  • Any reviews? I'm after some reliable, good value wireless earphones.

  • What's the benefit of the neckband collar approach? I use mpow wolverines, electronics are all the the ear pieces with a cord in between. Doesn't the collar get in the way / bounce around etc?

    • I believe that's where the battery is.

    • it sits well on the neck, and isnt anywhere near as likely to slide around down the front of you.

I used to own several of the non neck band models, now I will only buy the sort with a solid neck band.

  • Does this design transfer noise to the ears if the wire rubs against the collar?

    • +2

I have the samsung level u pro, and the jabra halo smart. the answer with these is no, i dont get and "collar noise" transfer

Can anyone recommend good wireless earbuds? I've read the Jaybird x3 isn't bad.

    • I'm currently considering the Sony WI-C300. Seems good on paper and in my price range.

    • If you're after something cheap with good sound for the price, then you can't go wrong with anker soundbuds curve. There's usually a decent deal for these every month

    • I've owned both the Jaybird X2 and X3 and I'm sad to say they didn't last.

Bought the X2 in August 2016 and it failed by May 2017. Contacted support and they replaced it with the Jaybird X3 which stopped working after 6 months of use.

I like the design and they're fairly comfortable but I don't trust their longevity. Having said that, Jaybird's support was excellent, but I don't know if one can rely on this.

I also own a pair of the Meizu EP-51 which I bought at the same time as the X2s and while they're not as comfortable as the X2 and X3s, they're quite good for the price.

Haven't used the Meizu set as much as I did the X2s and X3s so can't comment on their longevity except to say they're still working.

  • No deal for me, as anker slimbuds are cheaper, has plenty of excellent reviews, and could be had from within Australia via ebay or amazon.

  • I'm waiting for the OnePlus bullet wireless to come out. Reviews on YouTube have been positive all around and the neck band looks the most unobtrusive of all other earphones (of the same style).
