    Possibly. But the shoes have to be shipped here, distributed, a website maintained, rent and wages…then pay the Adidas parent company in Ireland or some other nation with favourable tax laws. Let's not forget associated athletes, advertising and event sponsorship.

        If I'm paying that much for shoes, I expect a semblance of quality. Shoes like Merrels are worth the high price tag because of exceptional build quality and comfort. This is just fabric and plastic.
