The 64 tablet pack of Quantum Ultimate (according to Finish "Ultimate" is even better than "Max") is currently $14.99 on Amazon AU. Put four in your cart to bump it over $49 to get free postage, then - as it's over $50 - you also win a further 20% discount that will be taken off the total bringing it down to $47.97. For those of you who have amazon.com accounts (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/381343) you may be able to use your unique code (I know I did) taking a further $20 off - bringing it to a grand total of $27.97 for 256 tablets ie under $0.11 per tablet….. If you can bump it up to $79 you could also potentially use the Amazon20 code eg @EVA-01 put the maximum of five packs plus a bottle of rinse aid then used amazon20 to bring the total cost of 320 tablets (plus the rinse aid) down to $43.80.

I will now refrain from making jokes about quantum tablets being ideal for washing your dishes if your name is Schrödinger and the dishes are in a state of indeterminacy between being either clean or not clean….

By the way, for that special person in your life, I should also note that "Gift-wrap available."

  • Damn, discount code AMAZON20 not working for me.

    • Ah wait probably why not working,

$20 off at Amazon AU for New Users (Minimum Spend $79)

      • Ah. Yes, true. Will update the listing - forgot it was $79.

        • Wish the limit was a bit higher that 5 per transaction

Thanks OP. Bought 5 (64x5=320) + a Rinse Aid to get it to $79.75 and applied AMAZON20 for $43.80 delivered.

….making it under $0.14 per tablet plus a free bottle of rinse aid. Not too shabby. Good idea. ;-)

      • Rinse aid is $5 for 400 ml finish at chemist warehouse regular price….

        • The rinse aid is $4.80 less 20% for a 500ml bottle. For $3.84 I consider it a good price.

Edit: was $4.80 when I ordered. It's now at $15. No deal.

If you have a cat, you don't need a dishwasher.

…but eventually they get full and will refuse to lick any more plates if you have a large household like mine. So if you just use cat powered dishwashers (one or more cats in an empty box), you end up needing to put more and more cats into the dishwashing box until you reach the cat event horizon and everything implodes into a singularity with a faint "meow" echoing through the void (poetic license - as there would be nothing left noise would not be able to travel, not to mention no-one being there to hear it other than one very confused whale - Douglas Adams reference - or a tree wondering whether it should bother falling or not). As such, I tend to just use normal dishwasher tablets.

  • I bought a bunch of the Ultimate tabs hoping they'd be better than the Quantum Max (which I was mostly happy with)… They're worse though.
I found the Quantum Ultimate very disappointing. Didn't work anywhere near as well at 45 degrees removing coffee stains, small bits of breakfast residue, avocado marks and balsamic vinegar.

I'm actually trying the Coles Ultra tabs as they were much better rated in the most recent Choice comparison.

    • Trying Earth Choice now. A1 so far.

  • I created new acc and tried amazon20 code but got error msg any idea?

The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase.

    • Amazon20 requires over $79 to be spent.

Max tablets is 5 packs, so you're still a little short, add something else to bump it to over $79 :)

  • Does anyone know if each tablet is individually wrapped with the white packaging? Or whether instead they use the water soluble clear polymer film?

    I'm looking for the former.

    <Edit> - answer my own question …

Image shows they are the wrapper free variety …

My older Miele dishwasher for some reason creates a gooey mush from the film that coats these tablets.

    • Spray your dishwashing tablet compartment with a bit of cooking spray oil. It will stop it from sticking and forming the mush on the door.

  • created new account but cannot use AMAZON20 code.

      • …also needed to apply one of the $20 off vouchers (either Amazon20 if you've never bought off Amazon AU before, or the unique voucher sent out to existing Amazon US accounts as a 'sorry' for the fact they are going to stop you from buying items from the US store). I suspect you may also have not selected the 'free shipping' option on checkout.

    Not working.
    Lost interest.

  • party over..

  • Just got told it was sold out on checkout.

Think it's gone. Was seconds late :'(

Choice.com.au's top pic is Earth Choice scoring 79% vs Finish Quantum's 66%. I doubt Quantum Ultimate is much better.

Earth Choice is $11 for 42 tabs this week at Coles. That's 26c/tab and I think it's worth it.

    OK, replacement.

4 x 80 pack of finish product. $84, so free shipping. Add your Amazon20 code, brings it to $64. Equals 20 cents a tab.

Just if anyone still wants some dishwashing tabs.

    • These are not Ultimate, though. I have never had an issue wit the Quantum and still think they are a good buy at 20c a tab.

      • Ahh thanks.

        • Is there really a discernible difference?

      • Quantum and Quantum Max are the same products?

  • I bought 300 Powerball Quantum Supercharged from ebay for $74.56 delivered. My last Amazon deal got cancelled.
