I purchased enough Penfold's wine in 2014 to qualify for the free Vintec wine cabinet. Sadly, the thing only worked for around 14 months before all the coolant leaked out and it failed. Warranty only 12 months so no joy. My employer also got a Vintec and it failed too. Hopefully the current units are better quality.

    • Can you get the coolant refilled?

      • Yes you can.

Yes, once you repair the leak. The "coolant" (refrigerant) in these is Isobutane, a highly flammable gas and you need a special licence to work with it. These fridges are just for looks and break down quite a bit.

It's not showing the 46 bottles when I clicked on the link, no mention of the fridge as well.

    • Same here. No mention of the wine fridge. Anything we are missing OP?

      • Damn. I just checked the link I had. And it's sold out already :(

    • Where's my refund for the gift card I purchased from you that didn't work?

I got a fridge and so did my little brother.

A 30-bottle wine fridge was $600 in 2010 and is $1100 in 2018. The fridge is a better investment than the wines.

      • Got the Bin 28s, they aged quite well. They also had a deal where you bought six Bin 28s and got a free Reidal Shiraz glass. I've got a few of those as well.
