Optus iPhone 8 or 8 Plus, Lease / Own for $79 / $89 Month 30GB Mobile Data 24mo Contract (Online Only)

50

From $79/mo for iPhone 8, other prices are listed below:
+$10/mo for iPhone 8 Plus
+$10/mo for "own phone", not lease
+$5/mo for 256GB

Not a bad deal if I may say so myself, however since we are on the verge of unlimited data, deals like this could be sweeter over time. Hoping for a deal like this on Telstra soon, so I can recontract. holding off due to anecdotal evidence of Optus' incompetence.

Only way to get joy from Optus is via the TIO.

I am currently on a 24 month lease plan with a Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus, i don't recommend anyone getting a lease plan

      • Can you elaborate on why you don't recommend it? I've never had a phone in good enough condition to sell at the end of a plan so leasing makes sense to me, but I'm weary about what sort of fees they could add on to a leased phone if they wanted to.

Used to be just $59 per month.
It's not really a deal here.

Where is the promotion, Telstra? You just have 25 days left to close your book and save your share price and also your CEO's job?

  • +$1229 you can buy a new phone without any contract.

  • Over 24 months contract:

From $1,896 for iPhone 8, other prices are listed below:
    +$240 for iPhone 8 Plus
+$240 for "own phone", not lease
    +$120 for 256GB

So your own iPhone 8 256GB and 30GB/pm over 24m: $2,256. Yeah, nah.

    • Works out to just under $33/month for 30GB data a month, which is alright, not the best though.
