Free 3 Months Stan, 4 Months Apple Music (New Customers) | 1 Audiobook @ QANTAS (Using in-Flight App with Flight Booking)

590

Thanks to Matt @ Pointhacks for the explanation and find. This seems like a great offer, especially the stan one!

Customers travelling across the entire Qantas network can download content before their flight via the Qantas App or stream it inflight on selected domestic Wi-Fi aircraft. Here are the free subscriptions that are available to passengers:

New / Existing Apple Music customers: 4 months / 1 month
New Audible customers: 1 Audiobook Per Month for 3 months, then $16.45/month thereafter (you can cancel before this)
New Stan customers: 3 months

The new entertainment partner offers will be available progressively from June 2018.

The best way to check out which offers are available is to download the Qantas app, enter into one of your bookings, click View Entertainment and see which ones come up.

Please Note: The QANTAS App/QFF program seems to be currently down at the moment, so signing up for these offers may be slightly delayed.

As always, enjoy!

Presume this works with fully cancellable fares?

    • I would presume that it would work perfectly with those fares, not 100% sure though.

    • But surely you wouldn't do that (book a flight, avail of the offers, cancel a flight) just to get Stan for free?
I couldn't find anything on it to watch when I last looked.

I think you're underestimating the lengths a tight-ass will go to get something for free.

          Lengths or depths?

          @ndro777:

          The Mrs likes both

      • Easier to use that free virtual Mastercard service discussed recently and keep creating 1-month free trials, then dealing with the headache of cancelling a flight booking.

          Expand please……..(thats what she said)

@cjb: I was thinking of Divipay that got discussed quite a bit here, but it looks like they're relaunching their company at the moment.

There are other companies doing the same thing. For $0 fee create a virtual visa/mastercard with $1 balance, use it to sign up for free trials with a fake email address. Rinse and repeat. Much easier than booking a flight IMO

mine just had the stan offer!

  • Hm.
I can't get the Qantas app to do anything. It keeps saying I'm not online (4G + WiFi connections in place and all other apps work fine). In other places it posts "Something went wrong, come back later" status bars.

I'm guessing that last night's slight train-wreck of a website update might have something to do with it. I even had a trip through the force-stop + clear-cache + uninstall + reinstall circus to see if that did anything (It didn't).

    Meh.

    • I'm having the same issue

    • Update from Qantas chat:

My apologies since currently, we are having a system and website upgrade ongoing. All of our department is unable to access the system right now. I can best recommend to contact us back at a later time. Please accept my sincere apologies for this one since we are making these enhancements to serve you better and provide much better customer experience.

So they're running around on fire at the moment.

  • Don't think it's the entire Qantas network, rather seems to simply be planes which support the entertainment app (mostly only seen it on domestic flights).

    • Domestic big city maybe? … I'm flying from qld to Sydney then to Melbourne, nothing offered on the first flight, second flight clicking on entertainment gives me a standard array of reasonably new movies and TV's but no stan offer

      • It depends on the plane kind, it's only certain models. I forget exactly which ones are fitted, but yeah mainly the domestic major city routes I've noticed it on.

  • Sorry…looking again.. "Rolled out progressively"

  • Sorry, I'm a bit slow. That Stan subscription - is that a normal subscription or something that is accessed through the qantas app? Can I access it / sign up for it without the qantas app, say, on the qantas website? And, I just flew last week, would I be eligible?

  • Recent booking only has the Audible offering available, business class on a 737.
