Received an email offering 3 months free Stan. Looks like its targeted so check your email or your Optus Perks app.

Terms and Conditions:
Available to select Optus customers. New customers receive 3 months Standard subscription. Existing / returning customers receive a 3 month upgrade to Premium subscription. Returning customers must re-subscribe to access the offer. All promotional subscriptions are followed by a paid subscription unless cancelled. Existing Premium subscribers ineligible.     I would be careful with Stan. Used the 'free' trials/accounts and always have been charged after the free period has concluded. Be aware they keep your CC on file, if you keep your account logged in on a Telstra TV it can easily be reactivated. More trouble than it's worth. Never had such issues with Netflix. Not worth it.

    • Doesnt Netflix do the same in terms of keeping your CC details on file?

    • According to this previous post you can cancel your account after signing up and still watch for the 3 months. I'll try it and report back later.

      I’ve never had an issue with Stan (for the free three month trial with Amex)

      • Same here, done multiple free 3 month trials, never been billed after it ended. Sounds like more of a problem with Telstra TV. Always used Chromecast here.

    Hmm I got nothing as well. Must be for Optus customers who are on more expensive plans?

    • I've got two $30 p/m sim plans. So don't think it's for the higher plans. Could just be random at this stage.

    With the previous 3 months free Stan offer, as recommended on OZBargain forums at the time, I contacted Optus Perks and they gave me a 3 month voucher. They said it was only for specific customers but still provided me with the voucher in their response.

    • Doesn't hurt to try. The worst they could do would be to say no.
