When will the next special be on Dolce Gusto website?

let me check my crystal ball.

  • You just missed the most recent one. $65 worth of capsules for $30 with free delivery. If you are keen on Dolce Gusto then it's best to register with them directly. Plus they had the new Drop machine on special at $139.

  • How long ago was the offer $65 worth of capsule for $30 free delivery?

I couldn't find such email from Dolce Gusto

Edit: Just saw it on website. But thats for those who just bought new machine only.

  • I tried the new flat white capsules, they are very weak (compared to cafe au lait, which is already on the weaker side), wouldn't recommend them.

You can get pods for $7.11/box equivalent if you buy 10 boxes off their eBay store and combine that $5 off offer with the current 11% off eBay deal which is until 11pm tonight only.

If you buy Americano Intenso with the $75 listing it will come to $6.67/box.

Otherwise there are occasional 2 for $15 at Coles/Woolworths ($7.50/box). Or you can use the everyday PULL5 5% off eBay code and it comes to $7.59/box delivered or wait for 10% off eBay codes (targeted and non targeted).

You can also subscribe and get 15% off, if you just want a one off order then pause the subscription after you make the order. Details here. Pause your subscription here, then when you want another order just re-activate and repeat. That's $7.22 a box I believe.

Found a reusable stainless steel pod currently on 50% off sale at AliExpress. It's comparibly cheaper than those on ebay/Amazon…

This one if you need the tamper.

  • can anyone recommend a local seller for refillable plastic pods? keen to try my own beans through the delonghi eclipse…
will grab a stainless one such as muzzy1907 has recommended but first want to go for the cheap option to see if it even works

  • took a punt on some reusable plastic caps after reading some positive reviews & realising having a stash of prepacked pods ready to go would suit me much better:

    4x reusable dolce gusto capsules - $10.69
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Refillable-Nespresso-Dolce-Gusto…

…should be interesting experimenting with some different bean varieties. savings will be considerable when you take into account the prepackaged nescafe pods end up costing around $80-85 per kilo! will report back once i get em & have tried em…

  • South Australians only.

Dolce Gusto are on special at Foodland for $6.99ea. For heavy users, use this deal and order 18 boxes for $100.82 after the discount = $5.60 a box.

so ive had a chance to try out 2x types of dolce gusto refillable caps for those interested in trying something other than the nescafe dolce gusto pods

these are great…perfectly suited for my delonghi eclipse machine. am currently using some la vazza qualita oro beans pre-ground finely for espresso and am getting very desirable results…perfect crema, full flavour & aroma, turning out brilliant espresso every time.

im running a full cap to about 5 bars on the control panel and it produces a really good coffee. im warming milk using my microwave & aerating/frothing it with a small milk whisker…perfectly acceptable results and means i dont have to buy yet another appliance for our busy kitchen.

i wholeheartedly recommend this approach…im making better coffee than the nescafe pods that ive tried and its working out to about a 10% of the cost of the nescafe pods!

PROS: no more nescafe powdered milk. choice of your own preferred freshly ground beans, really easy to use & clean, a fraction of the cost of the nescafe pods. cafe quality coffee at home for very little cost

unfortunately these were not compatible at all… unlike the recaps these are poorly designed with a too large hole on the top of the cap which results in poor pressure and fluid escaping out the top of the cap!

so id basically stay away from the cheap non branded generic pods…they may work in some machines but not in the delonghi eclipse model

    PROS: none. avoid.

I just followed your instructions finally and made a pretty damn decent coffee! For the total cost I couldnt be happier!

Machine $0 + Recaps $15.99 + 1KG Coffee $12.50 + Frother $20, in the long run this is going to save me heaps! Love it!

Can get these for an extra 10% off tonight with NIGHT10 Code. Just ordered some!

  • …so what are you folks using to descale your machines…?
trying to decide whether to go generic (economical)
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Urnex-Liquid-Descaler-1L-Descale…
….or to get the de longhi branded stuff (expensive)
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NESCAFE-Dolce-Gusto-Coffee-Machi…
thinking it shouldnt matter too much & generic is the way to go but wondering if anyone has any first hand experience?

  • Dolce Gusto Pods 3 for $18 ($6ea) at The Good Guys for Black Friday, eg.

  • Cafe Au Lait are 4 for $18 delivered on Amazon with sub & save if anyone is interested. They are matching Coles + additional 10% off.
