Rarely shop at HS even though have a store within walking distance.
Usually you can't pay (what is essentially a credit card that you can only use at Harris Scarfe) a credit card off with another credit card.
dont ever do it in the fine print you will read you get charged high fees. beware of Credit Card Handling fees and Merchant service fee we got charged a couple of bucks to pay off a couple of cents luckily they agreed to refund it as a good will gesture. best use cash or direct debit to pay off statements sent only be snail mail.

Has been available for years. Forgot to apply last time, so applied now. Need to provide proof of income.
Applied - got call to say approved - just over a day later. Submitted last month's bank statement as proof of income.
you can ask for a $500 limit and if you earn at least 20k just email them your tax assessment should be fine. but in my opinion its not worth a hit on your credit file for a $25 discount there are much better card deals out there. btw does anyone know if there are any dormancy account fees and do you get 5% of electrical goods or is that only on the gold card?

Receivers Deloitte says Harris Scarfe's 1,800 staff will be paid over Christmas and gift cards and lay-bys will be honoured
However the free ones given in this Deal are called "Bonus Gift Card" - so may be treated differently to paid gift cards by liquidators!

They were part of a promotion by the business in liquidation, to attract customers! Promotions by the old business are not usually honoured by liquidators. Those holding them are unlikely to be considered unsecured creditors.
Only way for sure is to try!

As suspected HS CC no longer work!
As the t&c of the free Bonus Gift Card (piece of cardboard with non unique barcode, t&c on back) are that it must be used with the HS CC when making a purchase to reduce purchase amount.
There is no information on the card to show if it has already been used. The barcode is scanned with the HS CC, which then shows the discount amount. But that no longer works…
