Only payments made for hotels, car hire or experiences are eligible for the offer. Payments made for flights, cruises or insurance are ineligible.
Excludes bookings where payment is made directly to the supplier (such as FINE HOTELS & RESORTS or The Hotel Collection).
Payment can be made with a combination of your American Express Card and Membership Rewards points or Travel Credit. However, the amount charged to your Card must be $250 or more to be eligible for the offer.
Excludes payments made via phone.
Offer is limited to one credit per Card to which the offer is saved and only spend on this Card counts towards the Offer.
Excludes transactions where you do not spend directly with your Card to which the offer is saved, at American Express Travel at travel.americanexpress.com.au. Offer valid at Australian website only.

  Say if you make a booking worth $400, use $200 travel credit, $100 in points and then $100 out of pocket. Would you be eligible for the offer?

    No. To trigger the credit means there will need to be an actual charge to your card equal to or exceed $250.

        Actually I just made a booking for a flight and got a confirmation email saying I used the offer. However, in the email it does say "If your transaction meets the offer terms, your credit should appear on your statement within 5 business days (however it can take up to 90 days from the offer end date)."

        We shall see, previously once I've got the confirmation email I haven't had an issue.

  Thank goodness, have South American travel coming up. All three cards got it.
  Now if only it stacks with my Explorer's travel credit.
