It appears that the Playstation store has the Yakuza series on sale again.

Yakuza 0 - $17.95(80% off)
Yakuza Kiwami(1) - $17.95(71% off)

and not such a great deal as it's still fairly new:
Yakuza 6 - $62.95(25% off, expires 19/06/2018)

Thanks to Yummycoot for the extensive list of all the games in this sale it's too pretty for me to replicate and I think they should get the props for it.

Edit: I just tacked on Yakuza 6 deal but it looks like it's a separate deal which ends tomorrow(19/06/2018).

    Yakuza 0 would be the best to start off with, it's actually a prequel of the series but first one to be on the PS4.

    Yakuza Kiwami next as it's a remake of Yakuza 1 which was originally on the PS2. as it's a current platform, it flows nicely after Yakuza 0.

    Next would be Kiwami 2 which releases on the 28th of August.

    Then if you can't wait, play 3 - 5 on the PS3, or wait for the remake to be released on the PS4.

    And finally Yakuza 6.

      Is Kiwami a proper remake or a remaster?

      I'm in the same boat, never played the series before but was always interested in it

        The "Kiwami" labels are proper remakes. Kiwami(1) used the same game engine as Yakuza 0. Kiwami 2 will be using the new "dragon" engine which was also used for Yakuza 6.

        The Kiwami games also have additional cut scenes which are ties them back to Yakuza 0.

        Just recently it was announced a remastered versions of Yakuza 3 to 5 will be released on the PS4. These will just be porting over to PS4 platform, but in proper full HD at 60fps, was previously at 720p and 30fps on the PS3.

  Btw: Yakuza 0 is coming to Steam on 1st of August for $18 and Kiwami is coming later this year. 4K and uncapped frame rate, so might be a better option for some.

  damnn literally bought yakuzo 0 on saturday for $57 from EB games. If i download it off the playstation store will it remain available to play even if my subscription ends?

    Sure. Purchased game doesn't require PLUS subscription to play anyway.

    I am buying both. Anything under $20 is in my "impulse buy" zone :D

    firstly it will be updated to resemble the price offered at Steam, selling at USD $19.99. maybe to $40 from $90 then discounted further throughout the year.

    i would get it now if you dont buy from other PS Store Regions.
