Suggest me a phone under $300 having better Cam and Battery.

I have been reading about some available phones under $300 (4gb rom) and below are some options I can see….I am with Optus and using my phone mainly in Sydney.

Xiaomi Mi A1
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 ( Global Version )
Sharp Aquos S2 (hot deal currently)
Moto G5s Plus
Other (which?)

Which one you recommend and its current best price?

I've got the A1. Lasts the day for me quite comfortably though I don't have the screen on all day. Last full charge was 18 hrs ago and 1h 16m of SOT and on 54% with battery saver on. Camera is solid in good light, very average in low light. Android one is nice and snappy. The microsd card option is nice to have as well.

The A2 is meant to be coming out soon which should be considered.

    • A2 is already out, also know as the Mi 6X.

      • Ah, didn't realise the Mi 6X ran Android One.

Love my A1, but the camera isn't great. It's good on good light, but falls away badly in lower light.

Android One is a good thing, though, I wouldn't get another without it.

  • The Nokia 6 2018 version is also a good value phone and it costs a little above $300 dollars (now $302 from eGlobal), but you'll have 64GB of storage and 4GB of RAM. Also, NFC.

Downside - it's using normal 16:9 aspect ratio so it will 'feel' big in your hands. The other higher end Nokias and Xiaomi Redmi 5's and Note 5 have taller aspect ratios.

  • It would be worth reading some reviews of the Redmi Note 5 (I think it's the same as the Redmi Note 5 Pro in India, but don't quote me on that). From a review I read, the camera seemed decent.

  • I have the G5 plus (not G5s plus)

    Great phone

    Great battery life

    Good to great camera

  • Asus Zenfone 3 zoom. Better camera/lens and battery than all of the phones listed. Currently $327 delivered at eGlobal.

  • I've got the global redmi not 5 and love it. Price has dropped to around $260-270 too which is greqt

  • The Asus Max pro M1 looks good and it'll be easier to get the version with the B28. NFC is listed as optional so it may depend of the version…The price should be a little bit higher than the xiaomi note 5 AI.

  • For $75 more is Nokia 7 Plus the best choice
    ?

    Nokia 7 Plus 4GB RAM/ 64GB $375 AUD ($276.18 USD) @ Joybuy

    • Compare the specs here. Both of the Asus phones have a much larger battery than the Nokia. The Nokia camera is better than the Max pro M1 but a little worse than the Zenfone 3 Zoom (subjectively) depending on which features you value the most. No NFC on either of the Asus phones if that is important to you.
