Is this Android One or most importantly Trebble? Need the Taiwan version with B28 though

    • Not Android One, ships with MIUI.

    • Supports Trebble

currently using one of these as my daily driver. Gob-smacked at how good it is. It doesn't look or feel like a budget phone. I use the google launcher and not MIUI and the phone is snappy as all hell. I've had mine close to 2 months and it's already had 4 updates to MIUI and is using Android 7.1.2

    brilliant phone.

    • Any issues in B28 coverage for you? location?

      • No Issues with coverage for me. Adelaide metro , some SA regional using Optus.

  • This would have been a perfect budget device if it had NFC and a Type-C charging port. Xiaomi, please stop cheaping out on these things. I don't think a NFC coil would be that costly to include.

  • Longtime Xiaomi user (Redmi note 1, 3 & 4x). Moved to a house with less signal. my redmi started missing calls due to lack of B28. Purchased Moto G5s Plus yesterday (current goodguys ebay sale $267), almost stock Android and even tho it has similar specs to Redmi note 4X, it is faster. I would recommend Moto G5s Plus if you're considering a Redmi phone.

    • Camera takes similar pics to Redmi 4X cam. has NFC (tap n go/pay). Learned that beefed up specs don't always mean better performance.

    • Might have been cheaper to try a different network.

      • Was too complicated to change. a few numbers with work n family on same network + overseas calls etc + it was time to update the phone.

Don't forget cash rewards and I found this coupon which knocked another 10 off

  • I want to cash in on a GST-free purchase but my Redmi 4 does not seem to be far behind enough to justify this purchase! Guess I'll wait another year for the Redmi 6 Note and the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia (actually the name of the real entity that we've "agreed" will claim taxes) can have their kickback.
