Found this link to corporate travel insurance pricing. Compared to the regular QBE website, my quote was 40% cheaper using this link.

12 Months Unlimited Trips Travel Insurance (excluding USA) cost me $202.20. Will vary with age and other factors, but incredibly cheap for 1 year continues coverage wherever you go.

      A few things to consider with Credit Card Insurance

      • You’re not automatically covered just because you have the card.
      • You may also need to notify your bank of your travel plans.
      • Some policies will only cover the cardholder.
      • Higher excesses usually apply.
      • Limited cover for pre-existing conditions.
      • Age limits apply.
      • You may not be covered for adventure sports.
      • Trip duration limits apply.
      • Some policies will also only cover you if you have a return ticket.

        Some of these caveats apply to this package as well. Eg 60 day per trip limit. Possibly not automatically covered for international snow sports.

        Choice did a similar article comparing actual policies rather than general advice. Found credit card insurance as good as and in some cases better than the paid alternatives (medical approval not required, etc.).

        Sounds a good deal if the policy works in your situation, but calling it incredibly cheap at $200 vs similar complimentary cover is a bit of a stretch.

        Strongly recommend giving your credit card's insurance PDS a read before throwing away $200+ on something you may not require.

    Like BUPA insurance that doesn't cover hip / knee ops / dialysis!

      The price excludes USA, south and central america. You can pay more to include them.

      Choose the annual policy, it’s cheaper than 2 months coverage separately.
