  • This machine is good although both the milk and the coffee it produces could be warmer. I often end up using steamer as using the attached frother results in lukewarm milk. Have I known that prior to buying the machine, I would have gone for a cheaper model without the milk frother. Although at this price it's a steal!

    • Pre-warming your cup with water from the water spout makes a surprising difference.

      • +1

Yep, prewarming the mug for these is essential. The machine has a cup warmer built in, but I normally just use the 'rinse' water from when the machine starts to warm a cup or two

      • Thanks :) I know about that. Been doing this for a while now. I even boil kettle for this purpose to make sure the glass gets really warm… still… I like it hotter ;-)

      • It takes a bit too long to warm up my tall glasses with the spout. I rather use a kettle for that purpose.

  • I got one of these. Was happy with it until the grinder recently stopped working. Of course it had to happen just 2 months out of warranty!

    • You can still claim it under warrantry as its expected to work for a reasonable period of time and is not limited to the manufacturers stated warranty. ACCC excerpt "Your rights under the consumer guarantees do not have a specific expiry date and can apply even after any warranties you’ve got from a business have expired."

  • 1250 is no where near the cheapest. I picked one up at Harvey Norman on New year's Eve for $999. I used the amex $100 statement credit and at the time delonghi were offering $75 cash back. Making it $824.

It is regularly advertised around the $1150 mark and cash backs from delonghi are common. You should know this 'store rep'. Don't mislead people, cheapens your brand.

  • Cheaper here ($505), although refurbished by a repair centre rather than by the manufacturer.

I bought mine from there for $433 after eBay promotions and cashback. Then they gave me a further $100 refund because they sent the wrong colour.

I read plenty of reviews saying the coffee and milk don't come out hot enough, but I think it's fine.
