TCL 43"(108cm) FHD LED LCD Smart TV 43S6000FS $466.00

Cheapest ever that I could find, as per price hipster and cheaper than the one on ebay by appliance centre

This TV is not available on good guys eBay store, the eBay ones are all way more expensive. This is a basic smart TV I think last years model? Has everything you need.
Plus TCL actually make their own screens.

I think I'd be hard pressed to pay more than $120 or so for this, anyone else?

I do not endorse or encourage or advise on any of these tv's.. They are most definitely buy at your risk, demise, peril.

Personally wouldn't take them even if they were free unless I was bothered or planning on reselling them to some poor chump.

        • Good find

        • @dealman: thanks but honestly Kogan and bigw brand tv's should only be bought as a complete last resort.. They are very washed out afaik and barely any definition.. don't quote me on that though as I have personally not been able to inspect them in person but others have and this is the general takeaway.

People say Hisense or Sony 50-55 inch tv's in the $1000 AUD range is the sweet spot and you can also get HDR in that range usually without even needing a discount or sale price from jbhifi and the like.

But power consumption wise 40-45 inches full hd is the way to go. Unbeatable.

    • and you can buy smartphone with 6" screen for a grand?

  • Not sure if it's the same model, but mixed reviews. https://www.productreview.com.au/p/tcl-32s6000s.html

I think TCL's higher end models might be okay, but IMO for the price something along the lines of the non-Japanese JVC 55" for $499 might be better value as these models are usually pretty basic anyhow. Not sure about Big W returns policy for things like light bleed though, but that would be a question I'd have before I bought one of the cheaper models. • Can I install plex with this model? Some said you can with other tcl model

  • I had a terrible experience with a recent Tcl purchase. After a week or two dealing with their warranty process getting no where I decided to instead to seek a full refund as DOA. Took over a month to get my money back.

    • Did you buy it with TGG?

  • So no one really likes this much. What is the best bang for buck TV in this size (40-49") then?

Pretty sure this is the same price 2 years ago too. Not a bargain.
