Great price, if only it wasn't a grey import though.

    • Coming from Note 4, I would have preferred this over S9 I bought from Ebay plus deal. But yeah, it is a grey import, so I am happy with S9 purchase

    • Doesn't really matter if it is grey import in my mind anymore. Same phone technically speaking. Also have a friend who managed to get his serviced by Samsung despite bing a grey import from kogan. There are some good grey import stores on ebay at the momeny with the PIZZAZZ code than you can order for about 800~

The inconvenience and headache and stuffing around by some grey import sellers is what the biggest problem with them are.

Being out of a phone for 1 month is really inconvenient and in that moment, I always say "should've just paid the extra for a local one"

      • Getting your grey import serviced by Samsung is hit and miss. I've bought grey import devices (from Kogan) a few times in the past and they have been fine, but I've been lucky and not needed to reach out to Samsung or Kogan for support either. These days Im less likely to drop almost $1k on a daily driver phone and cheap out on the 2 year warranty and benefits of ACL.

If I order this today, and it doesn't arrive till after 1 July - will I have to pay GST?

    • would like to know as well. afaik if order was before 1st july, it should be okay (ie no GST)

from what I understand after reading about the new GST law for under $1000 items. You only pay tax if the seller is located in Australia and the product is imported to sell here. If the seller and the store is located overseas then you shouldn't have to pay the GST. I think this law is to affect stores like Kogan that have competitive prices and source the item overseas which affect the local stores from making money.
