    as someone who lived in Hong Kong a few years ago, August has got to be one of the worst possible times to go. Hot, insanely humid, raining all the time and its also typhoon season.

    Otherwise, its a good price especially on a top airline.

      Especially when one is using it to connect to other routes :D

      Can get cheaper as well, under 400 on Scoot, but Singapore Airlines is just so much nicer.

        I can personally recommend November, was good weather and I had a week there for a friend's wedding.

        From the end of September through to November is good. It is low season and you can get cheap air tickets. I always fly to Hong Kong from Brisbane during that time. It is usually drier and cooler during this time. If you want to make a trip to China, e.g. Beijing, go there in October and November, and you can get a clear blue sky in Beijing as well. I am originally from Hong Kong.
