  • Good deal wish I was in Sydney :(

  • So you'll need to pay $14.95 in order to pay $14.95 per person or am I missing something?

  • Offer doesnt make sense - you buy one $14.95 voucher but it also applies to everyone else at your table (without them buying vouchers?)????

So am I paying $14.95 for the 50% off voucher, then at the restaurant everyone (including me) will need to pay for the price of the buffet as well (but 50% off)?

  • Yes it is quite confusing.

  • To paraphrase the Simpsons

That man ate all our ribs! And 2 plastic lobsters

  • so instead of 2 people paying a total of $60 (2x30) you pay a total of $45. (2x15 for the ribs + 15 for voucher)
Not really a saving of 50% but still very good. :)

    • No, 1 person pays $15 for voucher, the other pays $15 on the day = total is $30 (voucher + 15)

      • Oh.
        Then that's really good =)

  • "One voucher per table allows everyone at the table the same offer "

i think it means everyone is entitled to the all you can eat offer at that price

    OR

    1 coupon per table?

Or some weird term or condition that they can maniupulate to screw u over..

i used the viva voucher at a bowling place in darling harbor and it clearly said buy 1 and your friend gets 1 game free.. the rude lady said " terms can change any time" and they refused it!! even though i printed out the ad and the coupon!!

  • +1

I think I read a previous deal from Tony Roma's where you also had to eat all of the sides before they would 'reload' your table. Could be wrong but I do remember some outcry about the onerous T&Cs.

  • my understanding:
i buy this voucher for $14.95, i can get buffet ribs for myself, OR
if i bring another 3 friends, eat in the same table, they also pay 14.95 each to have buffet ribs without any voucher.

  • +1

It's not buffet ribs, and yes you have to eat all your ribs before you can order more.

If you bring your friends they get it for $15 also.

Also if you sign up to Cudo they give you $10 free, so this could cost you $5!

    • I did that and wouldnt use the $10 free.. so :(

      • How do you get $10 free?

It's in your email after that.

        • Hmm signed up, but cant work out how to apply the voucher to the deal (after redeeming it in 'my profile').

        • I think the voucher has to be over the value of the item you are trying to purchase.

So this deal is worth $15 so minimum value in credits u need it $15.

Thats just a thought happy to get corrected.

    • Stupid 2 hour time limit.
They probably take 30 mins to bring you fresh ribs too.

  • +1

    ok heres how it works
    i buy a cudo voucher for $15
    i take 2 friends in
they can also get all you can eat ribs for $15 each, but they dont have to buy a cudo voucher
they just pay the restaurant the $15 each on the day

i meanwhile just hand over my $15 voucher
and the other 2 pay $15 each

everyone eats ribs for $15 each, all you can eat
    its a great offer
    get in there!!

So essentially you're buying a 50% of ribs coupon, valid for the entire table.

    So, based on that assumption:

    1 Person, $15 coupon, $15 Food, Saving 0%
    2 Person, $15 coupon, $30 Food, Saving 25%
    3 Person, $15 coupon, $45 Food, Saving 33%
    4 Person, $15 coupon, $60 Food, Saving 37.5%
    5 Person, $15 coupon, $75 Food, Saving 40%
    .
    ..

    50 Person, $15 coupon, $765 Food, Saving 49%

Bit misleading, but still a good deal.

    • errr i think thats a bit of a miscalculation

i believe its basically what brendan299 said
everyone gets to pay $15 for their portion, but the person paying the voucher doesnt need to pay on the day since he/she has paid to cudo using the voucher

ie, everyone gets a 50% saving.

      • Ah ok so the coupon holder doesnt pay, ok sweet.

Anyone been to this restaurant? Are the ribs any good?

        • they are pretty good - in addition they are an international chain - reputation must be built on good food.
defs worth a try for $15 all you can eat ribs :)

  • +2

its a great deal for ur mates that dont get around to buying a voucher
they can rock up with you and ur voucher and u all spend $15 each to smash through a crapload of ribs

  • What does it mean:
    "All you can eat ribs"?

I can order as much as I can?

  • keep ordering them till u cant eat any more
read the terms and conditions though

    pork ribs only
you have a maximum of 2 hours to consume the offer
all ribs must be eaten before asking for more

    here go have a look

  • +1

Op needs to reword this deal?

  • Wow, I love ribs. Too bad I'm in Melb.

  • i think you would have to finish your sides as well before you can have another one….more than happy to be proven wrong..but at least thats how it worked last time

  • +2

When you purchase a voucher, you've already paid for your own meal:

"Correct! Simply grab today's Cudo, and you will eat (ribs) free on the night. You can bring as many friends as you like and they'll just pay $14.95 on the night to join you in the all-you-can-eat festivities :-)"

This was confirmed on the Cudo Facebook page.

  • Do they serve babybacks with this deal? Other ribs are not very good.

  • +3

Cudo has sold over 3,000 vouchers which expire by the end of April 2011 that means alot of people will be struggling to book and the ones that do will be eating low quality ribs.

    Menu is here http://www.tonyromas-mms.com/files/menus/Sydney%20Menu.pdf
    The Original
    Baby Back Ribs
Tender, lean pork loin meat, basted
    with Tony Roma’s
    Original BBQ sauce

3320 offers sold so far! - that's 3320 tables in 3 months - I hope they can keep up with demand

  • nah.. too many ppl bought i dont want to get any trouble or bad serving issue later on.
    enjoy all who got it.
imho, the ribs are better at hurricane - ofcourse much more expensive.

    • Went to the city one on sunday, they had no pork ribs!

  • +1

    Cupcake implosion imminent :)

  • mmmm none of their ribs are 29.90 based on their menu. they basically have 2 types of pork ribs namely st louis style and Original. Was wondering is the voucher valid for both types? Would be great if it was!

    • yeah notice the same. hmm maybe they are preparing "special 29.90" tiny ribs just for this deal hahaha

  • Pretty terrible reviews of the restaurant:

    http://www.eatability.com.au/au/sydney/tony-romas/

They'd have to offer me a free meal before I was even prepared to pay a dime.

    • Some great reading there, always wondered what that place was like.

looks like its 50/50 but the bad ones were terrible…..

  • WOW 4983 voucher sold as of 1/2/11 5.50pm

  • Gotta say that you are asking for it if you buy this voucher - this place was even welching on Entertainment Book vouchers 25% off - argued and argued at front of house before I gave up and paid.

Horrid service from international exchange students - buy at your peril. And competing with 5000 other tables in 3 mths - good luck!

  • Is this all you can eat @ half price each plate for $15? or $15 for the night all you can eat?

    • $14.95 for all you can eat in 2 hours

  • its sold out. GG close thread.

  • oh noooo i missed it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wow 5000 sold. And one voucher can take as many friends as possible, say one person takes 2-4 friends each on avg. That's like 10-20,000 ribs in 3 months lol. I wonder if there's enough pigs.

  • awww man i wanted to buy one darn it!!!!! i love tony romas ribs bugger i thought it was supposed to go till midnight!!!
