  • Virgin Amex deal ends soon. $50 off $150. No idea what their wine offerings are like though

I purchased the Cellar Start Mix:
    https://www.cellarmasters.com.au/mixed-cases/wine/cellar-sta…

Using the EOFYSALE discount, eGift card and assuming I get 14% via cashrewards, this would have only cost: $100.83 (a saving of $529.44).
That's $8.40 a bottle for supposedly premium wine that retails over $50.

Hopefully others also fine enjoy this mix.

Except none of those wines retail for anything close to $50. The RRP is way over inflated for this mix.

Agreed that the RRP is typically over inflated on ALL of the wines at Cellarmasters. However, when I looked online the closest RRP I could find was:
        Alkoomi Blackbutt 2009 - $62 at DanMurphy's
Dolan Family Wines X22 Shiraz 2014 - $34 at CellarMasters
Di Fabio Marietta GSM 2015 - $30 at CellarMasters
Mitolo The Furies Shiraz 2013 - $44.5 at CellarMasters, DanMurphy's also has other Mitolo wines for ~$50
Dorrien Estate Bin 1 Shiraz 2013 - $40 at CellarMasters,
Laurance Icon Cabernet 2014 - $48 at CellarMasters,

As others have also mentioned, a lot of the wine sold at CellarMaster's is now owned by the big supermarket chains. They took over CellarMasters in 2011.

So I'm not sure what price range wine connoisseurs would put these wines in - maybe $20-30.

I was happy to purchase these for $100. Although during the previous deal I got 3 cases for around that same price. Those wines have also been good. Hopefully CellarMasters does another free case deal.
