@dontpanic: 120 bottles! Wow where can you even store that many?

        • -1

unusual - most places don't include the handling and shipping costs in the total

        • +3

@MathNerd: I have a dedicated room for all my eneloops that I'm still waiting to use. Will see if I have space in there…

        • +5

@dontpanic: 200 eneloops in series = 240v, use them to power a fridge and store the cider in their place?

        • @supabrudda:

          You have a 240VDC fridge?

        • @maxwellian: 20 x 12vdc fridges a six-pack for each

    • Cider has now run out.

      • +2

It's horrible. I gave mine away.

        • Thanks for making me feel better.

        • +1

    • +1

      use promotional code in OP

  • +1

Thanks OP, wine was starting to run down

  • Just bought a 2011 Grange. What a bargain for a Grange under $600!
Resell it a few years later to make some $$ to fund my other Ozbargains!

    • +4

Good luck with that. "The 2011 vintage was a poor year with low yields. Very little of the usual marketing hype accompanied this release."

Currently sells for around $500+commission at auction. I just don't see it going up in value that much.

    • one of the worst years unfortunately or I would have grabbed one too

    • +4

You will be hard to find a buyer for 2011, sorry.

    • +1

Yep got absolutely stitched up - it was the first thing I looked at. Excess rain in 2011 meant there was lots of fruit in most regions, but all wines therefore lost their intensity, and teh grapes weren't made to work hard. Nice to have a bottle at home to show off to people who don't know better.

    • +2

Henschke didn’t even bother with their Hill of Grace for that year except good old Treasury couldn’t care less and made something anyway.

  • +1

They put a lot packs just under $300. Anyone know if there is a way to just add a few bucks to make it $300?

    • +2

'wine bags' under the gifts section

      • thank you so much. And once I put the code, it add $13.90 postage. So for me it is $136.10 off .

  • +3

They have some mystery packs for $105.00.

    https://www.cellarmasters.com.au/wine/mystery-mix-mm0117

    https://www.cellarmasters.com.au/wine/mystery-red-mix-mr0117

    https://www.cellarmasters.com.au/wine/mystery-white-mix-mw01…

Get all three and it come to around $4.70 a bottle. Then including cashrewards a touch over $4.

    • +1

Eh, likely stock that won't sell.

    • Present sorted for my alcoholic father in law.

  • +6

Most branded products now removed, the majority of wines are Woolies private label, which is a crapshoot.

    • I checked this site last week and there wasn't much good wine then. They haven't taken it away just for this promotion.

  • +2

I got a 6 pack of Kilikanoon Miracle Hill Mclaren Vale Shiraz 2013 which is exactly $300 down from $480. Adjusting for the cashrewards and woolies cards that will cost me $20 per bottle for an $80 bottle! Not bad.

    • what's this one like?

    • thanks for that, I was going to be at it for hours trying to decide :)
fingers crossed its good, reviews are not great but not terrible either, but reviewers paid $50. For what we paid it should be good lol

    • You got me when you said $20 for $80 ;-)

Never heard of this brand before. Just bought it for the savings…. Spend more to save more

      • The brand is good from memory, I’ve drank a case of the $40 variant so curious about a $80 one

    • Got the 6 pack on your recommendation. Epic impulse buy, cash rewards, promo code and payment with my egift card too. Winning

  • I bought before it got removed

    • Wynns V & A Lane Cabernet Shiraz (6-pack) 2014 - $360 - $150 = $210 - 14% cashback = $180? + $150 Sonus voucher

not bad. Rated 93 by James Halliday

  • Just ordered my first Wish card and didn't realise it will take a few hours for the email to arrive. Should I pull the trigger on the 5 cases of cider and lose the 5% saving? I have been burnt too many times when things have been "Ozbargained".

    • +2

      Yes. Wish takes a while.

      • Thanks I'll order it now. Looks likes drinks at mine.

    • +1

Took me 2 days to get my first WISH card, so you might as well just skip 5%

    • Scratch that…. To late

    • +19

      Easy Tiger
You were selling the same wine as a mystery deal for $10 a bottle a few months ago. So no bargain. Is a solid $10 wine but $25 rrp is a bit of a stretch.

      • how can you go wrong :D

        Ouch!

  • +1

For those interested here is a good article covering both Coles Group and Woolies Group 'own' label wine brands - not saying anything is wrong with these brands - I thought it was an interesting read :)

    https://www.therealreview.com/who-makes-my-wine/

  • Not a big wine connoisseur (not one at all). What do you guys think about this?

One of these plus a cider slab equals a perfect $300. I'm thinking these might be good to either drink or as an impromptu gift for if there's an occasion and I forgot to bring anything.

  • Can't go wrong with those for the price.
    Peter Lehmann Hh300 Barossa Shiraz (6-pack) 1 $110.94
Ribbon Hills Straight Line Central Otago Pinot Noir 1 $203.94

  • Wheres my johnny black?

  • The Avon Brae Eden Valley Chardonnays (there are two variants, buy both) appeal at around $11 a bottle after discount and cashback, shipped free .. :-) … !!

  • Someone commented that only you can only enter one wish gift card per transaction, it won’t accept multiple cards. Can anyone confirm whether this is true?

    • +1

i can vouch for this as I just ordered, only 1 wish card per transaction. No option the use more than one.

      • Thankyou! Better get my hands on a $150 egift card asap.
BTW, from reading your previous comments I'm getting the exact same wine as you. No idea about its quality but purely buying it for the savings

        • Hope you got it, looks like the wine has sold out…

  • +2

You don't get discounts like this on any alcohol but wine. Kinda says something about ordinary pricing..

  • Shame they don't sell whisky!

  • +1

to be or not to be.. an alcoholic

  • +1

Thanks OP, stocked up on some Pinots

I was going to buy this Virgin deal, but I don't know much about wine.

    Is it good value?

The 3 free bottles are decent value, no idea about the rest of the reds. 3000 points is nice!

Sorry if I'm not allowed to crash the thread lol

    • It's good value if you're happy to drink a bunch of trash wine. The Cellarmasters deal is great if you know what you're buying.

I just bought two cases of the leconfield cab sav for $200 (minus cashrewards if it goes through). I remember enjoying drinking it in Coonawarra when I was already half cut but hopefully my taste wasn't too distorted.

      • Thanks, those free bottles seem ok tho?
Not sure I want 2 dozen of the same type of wine tho.
        God dammit.

        • With wine there's generally a reason why it's being heavily discounted…

    • I've bought the Virgin Wines mixed red 12 case twice now and enjoyed all of them! I'm not a wine snob though

  • poop. ordered tuesday to use by "birthday $25" voucher.

  • Waiting for @Tonester and his words of wisdom before committing

  • My order came to exactly $150 and I got $38 cashback so it's obviously tracking at at the full $300 minus GST. If that gets paid out then it's amazing!

  • +3

Cellarmasters, a terrible company that loves to spam people's email and phones. No upvote from me.

  • Any recommendation for red wine from Margaret River WA? Thanks
