Here is an AUMPP50JUNE $50 off coupon code to sweeten this deal. Enjoy! 😉

    • +1

Dang it. Already bought earlier today

      • is it still possible to cancel the order and order a new one with coupon code ?

        • +1

Possible. But I dunno, CBB at this point.

        • +1

          just did..it works..!!

    • Will this work with cashrewards/shopback though? its not listed on cashrewards site

      • +1

Unlikely in my opinion, since they can be quite touchy with specific coupon codes - and they are probably keeping an eye on this thread.

        • +1

I bit the bullet, and was credited 108.98 cashback!!! Bringing the monitor down to $440, what a steal!

        • +1

@benneb2: im pretty sure it can be withdrawn. it takes 72 days for you to be able to cashout.

      • it works! not only that but the cashback is on the original sale price aswell… Technically I paid $473 for it :P

  • +2

Pulled the trigger. Thanks OP & @O O!

  • +1

thanks op a bit hesitate to buy on 599 considering the Viewsonic ips panel deal for 710 from Scorptech last week, but once i see the code for another 50 dollar discount, pull the trigger

  • wowweeeee…to broke :(

  • +8

Too good to refuse…! I have a Dell U2717D for CAD and now I have this for PUBG :)

    I used SHOPBACK who offer a 12% return… https://www.shopback.com.au/dell-australia

edit can confirm SHOPBACK works, $108.98 return

    • +1

Thanks. Good to know. Have a few days to decide.

      Also thanks OP.

    • Did you use the 'AUMPP50JUNE' or just the ShopBack? How long did it take for the ShopBack to appear in your account? I just pulled the trigger and I'm waiting to get confirmation on the ShopBack discount. Cheers GG

      • +1

I can confirm that I used both AUMPP50JUNE and ShopBack. Got the -$50 discount and ShopBack sent an email maybe half an hour later with a cashback of $108.98. Gotta admit this is quite a decent deal.

        • Yes, I used both which makes this deal an absolute steal! I really like the way Dell monitors look, this one will blend in with the home office really well.

        • @Grohouse: How do I get to my shopback account? I’ve logged in but can’t see any way to view my profile/account like you can in cashrewards

  • Is this good for graphic design? If not can someone recommend me one for graphic design, 4k movie and daily use. Thanks.

Is this a good one? https://www.dell.com/en-au/shop/dell-ultrasharp-27-4k-monito…

    • No, the reason why people are jumping onto this is for 2 reasons: 144hz and G-Sync. Therefore I would only recommend it for gaming purposes.

  • Same !!

  • I really want to buy this monitor but after reading all the colour banding issues i just can't.

Latest revisions of this monitor all apparently have severe colour banding and it looks horrible, no i ain't an IPS panel snob either.

Maybe buy it use it and refund it? Hmmm…

  • Cashback is not qualified for
Promo codes or voucher codes not approved by ShopBack

Does this mean it wont allow the 12% cashback if using the $50 AUMPP50JUNE?

  • TN panel, so definitely not for you if you care a lot about colour accuracy.

  • I really want this but I don't think this is much point with a 1060. I can nearly play pubg at 1080p and 1440 gives a 20% deficite.

    • I've got a 1060 as well and I think I will get this. A 1080p G-Sync monitor costs about the same, so might as well get this one

  • Really tempted to pick one up as it is almost perfect spec-wise (No IPS).

But there are so many reviews out there about issues. Not sure if it is worth the risk as the need ain't urgent

  • For the price I think this is a great buy. I wouldnt spend $999 on it, but ~$490 with cashback is great.
The monitor in general gets 4.5 stars by ~1350 actual users who own it, just google the model #.

    • Yeah that swayed my decision. I had my eye on the Acer/Asus models but all the QA issues and panel lottery with them just puts me off.

  • +1

I have been hunting for a new monitor for a while and need some help. I feel like groundhog day as I keep looking at monitor posts, then going down a rabbit hole of reviews, models numbers, pros vs cons and waste a stack of time to end up making no decision at all…

Anyone got a short list of brand and model number they would like to share that hits the following?
    * 27 inch+
    * 1440p
    * 144hz G SYNC monitor (Have Nvidia card)
    * IPS
    * Use: Non-competitive gaming across a wide range of games.
    * Budget - $800 but would really like to get closer to $500-600 range.

Then I am going to screenshot to my phone so that I can jump on the right deal next time without hesitation!

    • +4

      The shortlist is quite short:
      ViewSonic XG2703-GS
      AOC AG271QG
      Acer XB271HU
      Asus PG279Q
They are $800+ though and from what I understand there isn't much difference among them and there is more difference in quality control so you're subjecting yourself to panel lottery. Given that, people say that ViewSonic have the best QC.

I found myself in a similar situation to yourself and decided to just go for this Dell as all things considered I don't think I will care about it being non-IPS while gaming, thus I can't justify paying $300 extra for the extra viewing angle I will never ever use.

      • Thanks Kevihead!

I'll keep this list, definitely been down the rabbit hole with each of those models but have easily gotten confused looking at a similar model numbers that are not the same at all. There is always someone saying get XX instead or watch out for YY with this model in every thread/deal too. Gets so confusing.

Like you I am mighty tempted by this deal, coming from a 1080P 24" Benq I am sure this is a massive step up anyway! If I never see the IPS models in person I guess I will never really know what I am missing. I always sit right in front of my monitor anyway - maybe 10% off angle at the most but that should be fine for TN.

        • -1

Just so you know there's a massive jump from TN up to IPS, viewing angle is only a minor bonus.

        • +1

Apparently all those monitors use the same IPS panel from AU Optronics. There might be some difference in QC, but it's all anecdotal. Cheapest is the AOC or Viewsonic, around $750 range during eBay sales. Is $200 worth it for better colours? It's up to you.

Just know the difference isn't just viewing angles. Colours are more vibrant and uniform on IPS, which can also hit deeper blacks. It results in more accurate colours in photo or video editing, and richer colours in Windows, games, movies, etc. Side-by-side, it's night and day.

    TN panel… Gross…

I'll continue to wait for the Alienware model…

  • Just bought one. Thanks OP!

  • I cancelled my order so I can then use the $50 coupon, but I haven’t gotten money back. How long would it take? Payed with Paypal

    • HOW TO CANCEL?

      • Go to your order status and there should be a cancel option under actions I think

  • Thanks OP, ordered 1 using code. Now to wait for 12% cashback from shopback.

    • Did you get the cashback?

  • How long does it take to get confirmation from Shopback?

    • Around about 2 hours

      • hmmm… still no email yet after more than 5 hours

        • Took about 20mins for my confirmation to come through, was a little worried as the Shopback site was complaining because I had AdBlocker enabled. I turned it off for all sites while making the purchase, hopefully you eventually got your e-mail.

I was sitting on the fence for a bit due to all of the variable reviews, but for $440, 27" and g-sync…

        • @superpoo2: I've just cancelled my order with Dell, after getting nothing from Shopback, and reading numerous reports of dodgy stuff from Shopback.

        • @RangaWal: so, I thought I'd try again, and this time got a Shopback email within a couple of hours. On the downside, the cancelled order was due to arrive this week, but the new order is due end of August. I'll chat to Dell today to see if they can speed it up.

        • Wouldnt be surprised if it was due to after this post they had too many orders in lol

  • ok So checked this out. It's nearly 3 years old or is this an updated version? It was roughly around $900.00/ $1000 then.

Estimated delivery date 17th July, wtf. What's it showing for everybody else?

    • Mines still showing 4th July, but not dispatched yet, just confirmed. Will let you know if/when that changes.

    • +1

It was all 04/07 yestoday, mine got updated today with 20/7 delivery time, so dissapointed.

      • Great, now from 20/07 to 01/08

    • Mines estimated for the 6th.

    • +1

thanks for the reponse guys. Looks like whoever ordered earlier got theirs sent first. We are in a queue now

    • Mine was suppose to arrive today (Estimated Delivery Date: 3/07/2018)
But it still displays (Status: Confirmed - In Production)

      After an email to Dell Customer support;
      Hi (customer)

      Good day to you,

I am writing in response to the below request on the order (1X Dell S2716DG 27" Monitor )

I can see that the above order is under part shortage and the ETA mentioned on the above order was tentative.

I am working with the procurement team for the part fulfilment and I will keep you updated on the status.

I really apologies for any delay on the above order due to the part shortage.

Should you have any further concerns, please feel free to respond to this email.

NOTE: There might be a delay in answering due to high Volume. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

I guess I shouldn't hope for it to arrive by the end of this week?

  • +3

my estimated delivery date is 20th of July… this must be a joke that their doing grey imports if its takes just the right amount of time to receive overseas shipping. this is 17 days from now.

  • mine 's got shipped, est delivery 5/7. still there 's no cashrewards tracking…weird !

    • +1

Mine was delivered today (using it right now.. its good!) still no cashrewards tracking either. Hopefully that comes through soon

      • How are the colours?
Have you calibrated them with any guides?
        Mine is due tomorrow!

        • I want to say its exactly what you'd expect from a TN panel. There will always be something else out there with better colour reproduction / viewing angles but in all likeliness you probably wont care once you you plug it in and start streaming anything 1440p and above. That's what I did and I have to say i am VERY impressed with it and so far. Details pop out and clarity is superb.

Gaming also has been awesome so i have no complaints as yet. The only minor thing i can see is that when the computer and screen both go to sleep mode, you can wake the PC up with a keyboard tap or mouse movement. The screen wont come back on which is a bit weird. You'll need to tap button next to the screen power button to get it to wake up. Apparently this has something to do with the 'deep sleep' mode. I haven't toggled it yet or investigated completely to see if this can be resolved.

In regards to colour, it'll probably be even better once I calibrate it. For now I am just using the standard colour present straight out of the box.

        • +2

@JLCC: I heard about the deep sleep issue, it can be resolved on the monitor menu by simply disabling deep sleep mode! Simples!

        • +1

@Jimmycfc: Yup - i'll give that a try later. You'll be enjoying yours for sure when it arrives tomorrow.

And also cheers for spotting and posting this deal, big ups!

        • called Dell and apparently stock is shortage and will take sometimes to be delivered from overseas factory. will be delivered on the 16-17/7 :(

  • +1

    Haha, 27th of July ETA.

    • 24th for me. Jesus

      • Same. Mine was the 4th until this morning, now it's the 24th.

        • I got updated from the 5th to the 25th…

    • 27/7 here too now, and nothing from cashrewards.

  • Nice deal, thanks OP

  • 24th July :(

  • 3nd July, nothing arrive…

  • Mine was due 04/7 and now is 20/07. Oh well

  • Estimated Delivery Date: 24/07/2018

    Feelsbadman

  • Anyone had any luck with a non-tracked cashreward ticket on their purchase of this monitor? I'm concerned as the cashback has fallen to 3.5% that when this finally gets tracked and approved it will be at this percentage rather than the 12% it was when I made the purchase.

Also wondering, if the cashrewards is manually processed given my tracking isn't working, will it be calculated with the cashreward percentage at the actual purchase price (599.4) or the full retail price (999)?

  • +1

Mine was due 04/7 then changed to 23/07, now is 8/08, wtf dell doing?

    • +2

Same here, was due on 23/7 now been bumped out to 30/7….. sigh

      • Chatted to their support. Seems that 10 units will be shipped 30/6, with 195 units shipping 6/7.

These monitors are under a global parts shortage. Pretty frustrating.

        • yeah i just got off chat and "part shortage" was about all I got out of them. my ETA hasn't changed from 05/07 online and the agent couldn't give me an update. ugh.

  • possible to cancel if they havent shipped?

    • I believe so yes, no harm in trying anyway

    • yeah they asked me if i wanted to cancel when i enquired about the status

  • just had a call from dell saying they'd have them by 17/08

    • Sheet. Just checked mine again and now it's out to 06/08 :(

      • Ditto. From 4/6 to 20/7 to 27/7 and now 6/8 :(

  • Purchase Date: 30/06/2018
    Estimated Delivery Date: 9/08/2018

Thanks for the heads up OP. With a monitor this good, I'm willing to wait.

  • +2

Now getting an estimated ship date of 20/08. How is it legal for Dell to sell a product and advertise a ship date that is just a plain lie?

    • They had a unexpected surge of purchases, the price was really good, bought mine on 3/7/18,Eta is suppose to be 9/8/18, bout a month to ship, which is long an annoying, but at this price point, im happy to wait. kinda annoying though how they kept swapping my eta 6 times, worth sending a message to their customer support as i got priority

  • I lodged a complaint to Fair Trading and ACCC, escalation goes to an ACCC specialist (that says it all)but still put it on the record. A company like should not be able to trade in this manner. They are doing it knowingly, I have more trust in small vendors on Ebay then Dell.

    • I dont think you can do much, i agree its a dick move on how they kept extending the ETA, but not unexpected as alot of orders were placed and they had a shortage of parts

  • Anyone got theirs delivered yet?

    • I believe a few early buyers received theirs. The rest of us are waiting. My current delivery estimate is 21 August.

    • I received mine around 3 weeks ago and i'm in WA, some received it earlier than me.

  • Got bumped to 24/08.

    • 28/08 for me…

Nearly a month behind their delayed schedule.

  • Merged from Dell S2716DG Forum/ ETA

So has anyone received their monitor yet? Has been a month since i purchased and they changed my ETA 9 times already, eta is currently right now 26/08/18

    • As its from Dell direct, I'm guessing the stock has been delayed. It'll come.
