  • GODDAMN IT those prices are good OP.

  • +6

prices seem good but reviews are pretty bad.

    • +1

There's lots of items in the description, what ones are you talking about.

      • +5

We had the Repco Deluxe T-Pump with Gauge and can confirm that it is as bad as the reviews suggest. Avoid.

      • +1

1.2/5 from 13 reviews. Mainly people complaining about the T-Pump not connecting to presta valves.

        • +1

          T-Pump…the T stands for 'TERRIBLE'
          …so not false advertising!

    • …youll find that sh!t gear generally costs less :P

  • +5

    Do these have notification… Nevermind.

  • +2

    It's just a 20% off sale ppl

  • +3

These things are usually all cheaper at K Mart every day. The T pump is a buck cheaper for one..

    • +2

Yeah I saw that, here it is at K-Mart $15.00.

      • Its rubbish. Got one a few months back. Was pumping a tyre a week or so back and a little plug from down the bottom ofnthe pump flew across the yard. Now it cant inflate anything.

        • +2

How did you go returning it for a full refund?

  • +9

my advice….dont buy bigw/kmart bike stuff….get your gear from sales at pushys, wiggle, crc, cyclingdeal & some ebay deals….
for a few bucks more (literally) youll get fit for purpose gear which will more likely not leave you high and dry when youre out & about on your pushy 40km from home ;)

    • +1

Don't forget Big W has to comply with Aus Consumer Law which states products should be fit for purpose, so if they're not you can easily return it for a full refund.

Are of acceptable quality - the goods must be safe, lasting, have no faults, look acceptable and do all the things someone would normally expect them to do

      • +2

issue is not the refund…its the lack of qc & build quality on all that dept store junk
id never have confidence in a bigw tube, pump, multitool, lock, helmet etc having seen their range and having used decent gear and knowing that for a fraction more cost i'll have equipment that i can depend on, will last and i wont have to repurchase anytime soon

    • Tubes are generally good wherever you get them; just buy the cheapest. For example, even continental tubes aren't made in germany, seem same thickness etc. Also the combo locks. I generally get the thinner cable numbered combos from bigw etc when I'm going urban - the cables are hard to cut and they're good when going into shops, light to carry. The bigger combo ones (as advertised) are good too but more if you're leaving something locked up for longer.

      • …not based on personal experience. i never go too cheap on tubes & esp tyres…theyre the one key thing keeping you upright and moving :D
atm for my bikes i just buy tubes in bulk (10x - venzo)) and it works out around $4 a 700c tube…

on my mtb i never ran anything except maxxis tubes & tyres which i found did the job right whereas 'budget' tubes id be forever getting punctures.

Kmart 15 dollar pumps are actually decent quality. Used them for years and surprised by the quality.

Everything else I get from wiggle normally.

For tyres, nothing beats gstorskin imo.

    highly recommended purchase for jv:

This is a departure from the norm for watchnerd, so I'm wondering if all this stuff can make an amazing sundial, or some more complex timepiece
