    • No copy paste from laptop

Because transferring some files in windows explorer was so difficult?

      no illegal mp3 downloads

If that never happened, we'd still be paying $40 for albums at Sanity.

  • My kids will have fun with this and Alexa. They used to be happy with the song snippets she'd play, but that doesn't seem to work any more.

  • How is everyone transferring their playlists to Amazon Music? I usually use Soundiiz but looks like it doesn't support Amazon Music.

  • Does anyone know how to get it to work with Google Assistant? "Ok Google, play Drake", and it must open Amazon Music, and plays.

    • Doesn't look like it's natively possible: https://www.techjunkie.com/play-amazon-music-google-home/
Short version: if you want it on a Google Home, easiest way is to cast it from your phone, and then once it's playing you can use the basic voice control commands (pause, next song, etc) on your Google Home.
The silly rivalry behind Amazon and Google is discussed in that link - e.g. the Amazon store won't sell chromecasts or Google Home, so Google won't let them use YouTube on the Fire TV, so Amazon won't do casting from their Prime Video app, and Google Home won't natively play Amazon Music, and Amazon Alexa won't natively play Google Music. Basically it's a tit-for-tat silliness that's just hurting consumers, and that's why it doesn't work. That silliness seems to be at its peak around casting and the smart assistants.

  • So you have to pay on top of amazon prime for amazon music in Aus? no thanks.

    • Amazon Music Unlimited is technically a different product than Prime Music, but not arguing with ya that Prime Music should be included with Prime membership..

  • Does it support Chromecast?

  • Will this work with a Sonos One/Alexa?

  • +1

Not working working for me it says they are having technical difficulties please try again later anybody else getting this?

    • Not working for me either today. All I get when I click sign up and pay is "We’re experiencing a problem with our system" .

      • Does anyone know how to fix this problem ?

        • Finally fixed it. You need to change your country of residence or country/region setting to Australia.

          https://www.amazon.com/hz/mycd/myx#/home/settings/payment

After that it should all work again.

        • @Slugoid: I did change it to Australia it's not working for me

        • @CheapOjoe:
Not just the country on the top right as the op said, you also need to change your residence from the link I mentioned. Else, send an enquiry straight to Amazon.

Anyway, I switched from Apple Music to Amazon and I find the amount of international music is a bit lacking (i.e Korean, Japanese, Chinese). But for $1 a month, I can’t complain. Overall, Spotify still the best out of the three.

  • Merged from Amazon Music Promo

Hi there . Anyone here who signed up for Amazon Music Unlimited 4 months promo for $0.99 ? Just received email that my subscription has been canceled due to payment issue . I don't get it it's already been paid . Checked my account now they want $11.99 a month to continue ? Was looking forward listening some good music for 99 cents ….

    • Did you get to use the four months for the 99 cents?
If not, how much did you get to use it for?

      • More like 4 days ….got it on 4/7…

  • Subbed and cancelled, will dovetail off my cheapie Spotify perfectly.

  • Who said the expiry was 18 Jul 5:00pm Tomorrow (obviously converted from US time)? All the prime deals evaporated for me at the stroke of midnight.

    • The deal is still live in the linked page?

      • Wasn't for me in Melbourne, aren't we in different time zones? :)

Spewing that I missed out. Live chat failed. Still waiting for the Amazon call-back 13 hours later. Amazon and OzBargain you let me down…

        • It's still available for me lol?

          https://www.amazon.com.au/music/unlimited/

It says "Limited time offer, 4 months for $0.99" on the page?

        • @doweyy: Not for me via the linked page or your link. I get https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/41411/60541/amazon.png and full prices for all the subscription models. No 0.99c offer. Am I missing something or not looking in the right place?

        • @endotherm:

That's really odd.. this is what I'm seeing? Have you tried using incognito and seeing what comes up?

        • @doweyy: No. Not seeing that. But I just created yet another account and there was a tiny option at the top to subscribe, which I did successfully. Maybe your page will come up when I do the prime subscription as well. Whew… totally relieved now, my faith in humanity is restored. Thank you. Immensely grateful for the help, wouldn't have found it otherwise.

EDIT: Problem was it kept dropping me into a pre-existing account and logging me in, offer is only visible to new users.
