From the T&Cs: If your booking is cancelled, the booking will not be eligible to collect 25x POINTS. The flybuys points you collect when booking your travel with flybuys travel will be credited to your account within 14 days of your travel being completed.
Is that almost enough points to get another flight?
Not even close I think. $1326 or 264000 points for a flight. So 25x points is only 33000.
It's basically another 10% off promo, except you're getting ~12-15%* as flybuys instead of cash.
*ie using for Coles $10 off = 11.875% when compared to purchasing 5% off gift cards. Using for flights could be upwards of 15% if you're smart with them.
How about airfare? Aren’t they expensive?
depends. I've often flown them to AKL or CHC as they've been comparable. Certainly they and China Airlines are amazing inflight service in Economy. Havne't tried business yet.
Before you book, check momomdo.com for your flights and their price. Sometimes moving a flight one or two days gives you a good savings.
I agree with you on that one. A midweek flight can be significantly cheaper than a weekend.
Tue/wed/sat late night usually dead periods.
