  In my opinion, the cost of running it is far outweighed by the risk of downtime to get it repaired and the cost of replacing it if it breaks just outside of warranty.
  
  Water is virtually zero cost.
  
  A few KW of power is neither here or there.
  
  The Samsung POS it's replacing broke down 3 times under warranty, then ran 2 years, then carked it. Each time it took a week to get the Samsung tech to repair it.

      It's very quiet compared to the old one.
