This is a long running deal but there are many new members who don't know about this. So here I am sharing the love. The last post that I found was in 2015

Get 5% off any purchase at the following stores:

The gift cards can also be used to purchase ebay gift cards from Woolworths. That gives you an extra 5% off on any ebay purchase. UPDATE This may no longer be possible and Woolworth's self-checkout systems may prevent you from purchasing a Gift card when paying with WISH & Woolworth's gift cards

If you have the Woolworths Money app on your phone, you can simply add the egift cards to your app easily.

    So…. so many rumours of bans and policy clauses for Wish gift card purchasing other gift cards.

    I’m looking to buy a TV off Ebay, every dollar counts.
    I also don’t want to have thousands of woolies gift cards if I can’t buy Ebay ones.

    Any solid confirmation?

      I use egift cards to buy google play cards, iTunes cards all the time.

      No issues at all.

      If you go through self-check out it will request that an operator approve it.
      They do and then walk away, you then choose egift card as a payment option.

      I remember reading that there is a limit to the number of gift cards/codes that you can use in one transaction on ebay. From memory, it was 16. If the limit is 16, then you can use a maximum of 15 cards + 1 discount code.

          T&C's Say 8 cards, But you can redeem max $2500 per day on ebay. Not limited to transactions

          I believe their is a monthly limit as well but unsure that limit is (Thought it was $5k)

          I've done it plenty of times, If you have $2500+ in giftcards you can do your own trial without committing to the purchase to see the outcome.

          I bought a $4k product last month and maxed out the $2.5k daily limit. Along with using the 11% off CR Coupon, 1% CR-Cashback, VFF points and Flybuys 5x points

        Yesterday I used a discount code and 14 gift cards ($50 each) without issue in one transaction.

        I went to a young kid at a checkout. He told me, after we started processing the GCs, that the supervisor is called if you buy more than 10 in one go. The supervisor processed half of them for me at the service desk. She didn't mind at all.

          I think what they meant was ebay has a limit to how many gift cards you can use in one transaction, for those who buy lots ebay gift cards to try and buy an expensive item.

        Yeah I am having same problem, ordered at 5am, received Tax Invoice 8am and nothing since. Doesn't normally take this long.

    But you can not use eGC to buy another GC in WWS any more. The NEW system doesn't allow you do that.

    Didn't receive a gift card I ordered so I emailed and they resent with the following message

    We have had recent customer feedback regarding this issue. We have been able to identify through this feedback, that some internet service and email providers have implemented measures to protect their account holders from malicious/scam emails.
    The reason for this is because of an increase in unsolicited emails being sent with the promise of an eGift cards, in particular for surveys.
    These emails most often, are to steal information from the recipient, and there is no eGift card for completing the information/survey requested. We have been advised that this may mean that any emails with the term "eGift Card" contained in the subject or body of the email, may be blocked at the email provider end. Unfortunately, this also means customers have had our emails blocked, as they contain the term eGift card/Gift Card within.
    Please contact your email provider regarding this issue.

      Just spoke to the card issuer (Coles Mastercard) and they didn't see any problems with the account. The problem ended up being that I was using an additional card to purchase, but 3D Secure did not appear to work. It worked after I used the primary card.

    Damn, I did not realise that the credit card still counted the merchant as "Grocery and Supermarkets" even though the payment was done online. I missed out on some rewards points using CBA Mastercard instead of CBA Amex :(

    Is buying eBay GCs / other GCs still possible in Woolies? I've tried doing it 2 days ago in 2 different Woolies but the terminals rejected WISH GC as a payment method (Payment not allowed)

    It now appears Woolworths has plugged a hole in the Egift card system. If you have tried to make a payment with Egift cards to purchase a Giftcard which is not Woolworths Branded, ie, JB Hifi or Ebay you will be unpleasanty surprised to find that the pinpad advises you that the card number is rejected "not allowed".

    This does not impact grocery purchases. It may impact on Travel Card payments (i.e Opal in NSW) Cigarette Purchases and Other services which don't fall under the groceries category. I have obviously not tried making purchases of these items since I am stocked up with my Opal from an earlier Amex deal, and I don't smoke.

    This thread is open to comment.

    I have a new credit card that needs a 2.5k spend on it by end of the month for 100k QFF points.. I’ll go via cash rewards to get the 2.5%, But can I just go to e-wish cards and add a $2000 to my basket? (I just tried $500 and it added fine). But can I then load it in the WW money app and spend bit by bit each shop? Cheers.
    (Am I missing a step to gain more discount lol)

      Buy multiple egift cards to a grand total of $2105.28. Four at $500 each and one for $105.28.

      For a spend of $2105.28 - 5% = $2000.01 = Equals just over $2000 spend and a bonus of $105.28 of Egift card you can buy at the spend you need to meet for your credit card bonus points spend.

          A egift card has a maximum value of $500 each, you will end up with 5 egift cards which you will need to load to your credit card.

          Hey buddy, the answer you are looking for is yes you can, you can also combine payments by going to "Egift (Split payment)" and type in target amount to deduct.

          Just don't lose your phone! (or keep the email with the egift handy)

          You don't need to buy 2.5K all in one go, this isn't an online voucher.

    Tried to buy $100 eBay gift card at WW self checkout with the wish egift card and it is not accepted. Got message on screen "not allowed" and staff could not override.

        OK I just tried Safari on my mac instead of my usual Chrome on PC, and used Shopback 5% instead of Cashrewards and it went through using the same card… not sure which one of them did the trick. Hope it helps someone.

    I have been buying through Suncorp app, which has it reduced to 4%; the app is handy to track balances on the egift cards;

    Any suggestions on a third-party app; to use for tracking usage ont he egift cards?

      You just need to copy and paste the card number and pin into your wooloworths money app .

      There you can see all the cards, and now with the updated app you can do a kind of contactless scan of the card barcode from your phone, you just need to tell the person serving you that you will be using the full amount or partial amount then scan at the register and type in the pin on the pinpad.
