KFC Hot & Spicy used to be pretty hot and spicy back in the day. It's been toned down heaps in recent years sadly. It's as if they think the consumers don't like the spice. I get that plenty of people can't handle spicy foods, in their case they should either put up or shut up because the product becomes worse for spice lovers out there.
I hate it when these companies advertise foods as being "spicy" when they aren't anything of the sort, just to cater for a wide range of palates.

Nothing 'spicy' from Maccas has ever been remotely spicy. They had a spicy burger about 10 years ago and it was hilariously bad.

When they had Spicy Jalapeno Chicken Burgers about a year or two ago, sometimes when they dosed up the jalapenos, the whole thing was quite spicy and yum!
That burger was the best! I recall it was in stores in 2016 for sure, not sure when it was phased out exactly. Jalapenos are pretty on the tame side for me, but it was still awesome and yeah probably one of the most spicy things on fast food menus at the time (not saying much though).
That burger ran a TV ad where it was too spicy for the person trying it. But it's only sweet chilli sauce.. lame.

I have the feeling that fast food companies try to cater to a very wide amount of people (even those who can't handle spice) when they develop these products. It's a shame because for spice lovers the product becomes sub par. If the products are actually spicy I'd buy them more frequently.

Had some last night. Better than KFC's attempt though, but lacking the spicy. Shaker fries tasted very similar to normal shaker fries.

Tried 24 spicy nuggets yesterday, be honest to say it does taste spicy and even hotter than KFC's spicy nuggets. Not a bad stuff and plus their Spicy Buffalo Sauce really kick the ass hard.

couldnt add it to my order as app said wasnt available at my local (even though its on the normal menu) and the store shows under participating stores for the offer.. go figure

You should be able to ask at the counter for the deal and just say the app is playing up and have them put it in for you manually. The thing that OP has is sent out to all stores so they can be aware of deals so people don't just walk up and say "the app said I could get a big mac for 50c but it's giving me an error and won't accept the order".

Kiosk messed up and kept saying the order was taken already, error, please see staff. I ended up ordering via App rather than scanning QR code with Kiosk. (Allows two dipping sauces)
