Gold Coast to Auckland from $207 Return in August-Nov, Feb'19 via Air Asia @ Flight Scout

140

I rarely see Air Asia as cheap and especially for this route. Gold Coast is a nice easy airport to fly out of, compared to Brisbane (in my view), and you have a variety of dates to choose from.

Gold Coast to Auckland.

Examples:
August 23-29
Feb 21-24

Airline: Air Asia X. Fine for a LCC, surprisingly good food.

    $207 Return

Well you'd certainly hope they do.

We just came back from Auckland flying Air Asia. Great trip. First time to North Island but it's just as amazing as the South. Plenty of powder snow at Mt Ruapehu and bluebird days in June! They even had buy 1 get 1 free. The beginners section is called Happy valley is probably the best in NZ with 2 magic carpets and a chair lift. Great staff and instructors, my kids were skiing independently after 2 lessons.

I paid about $800 for 2 adults 3 kids, food, no luggage. They do kids fares on the return leg so kids only pay 75% I think. Hopefully they will expand their services to Queenstown soon!

  • i usually find Reddy airport parking the cheapest for GC parking.

    • I went with Alpha for our current trip. If you select "wyndham" from the "how did you hear about us" you get the same discount as seniors.

    • what's wrong with the street?

    • Gold Coast Airport had a great deal for open air parking $100 for 12 days. Have the convenience of dropping off passenger and luggage at the front, go to park and then walk to terminal. I always check Gold Coast Airport first.

that'd be blind freddy's view too.
The walk from drop off -> checkin -> security -> customs -> plane is probably shorter then most city airport's drop off -> checkin. (or in Melb drop off -> building)

Agree with this about their nasi lemak. Not sure about their other food though!

    • Yup. I love their Nasi Lemak and it's well priced. My kids love the kids meal and chick lasagna and I think $5.50 upgrade for haagen daz, kit kat and small pasta salad. They said it was the best airline food ever

    • Nasi lemak is what I was thinking of too. I ordered two on my first flight with them :D
