      more regular updates doesn't mean its better. It can also mean that its patches to fix issues. Its like saying Windows is a better OS because it has more regular updates.

  This 'BE' version does not come with a remote. Is this having a IR receiver so a separate remote will wotk?
  If not how will you get any use of direct hdmi ports?

    hooking up a bluetooth kb or something id say.. i got the B model about a year ago for an extra $100, the remotes def worth it.. effortless. this is a solid price though, shits all over synology.
