Get high F2.8 brightness over the entire zoom range with this high-speed zoom lens. Its focal length of 12 - 35mm (35mm camera equivalent: 24 - 70mm) covers wide-angle to standard to medium telephoto shooting. Not only ideal for capturing landscapes while traveling, this lens’s wide diameter gives you top-quality indoor shots too. Perceptive and defocusing effects add to the features, giving you exactly the kind of photos and videos you’re looking for. Its splash/dust/freezeproof design also makes it great for shooting outdoors, so you can use it in nearly any weather with a splash/dust/freezeproof LUMIX camera and be creative.

Features

POWER O.I.S. for Ultra-Sharp Photos
Capture scenes carefree or at the spur of the moment. The optical image stabilisation (O.I.S.) technology built directly into the lens ensures your photos will look great, with sharp blur-free contours across the entire picture.

Taking highly popular MEGA O.I.S. further, this advanced technology immediately compensates even large camera shake and vibrations that may occur in photography. So you can capture true-to-life scenes without the need for a tripod. In the end, you’ll enjoy wonderfully crisp images.

Outstanding Video Recording Support
With video support any user has everything they need for recording with their LUMIX camera. Not only does it perform smooth aperture changes so there are no sudden jumps in exposure, it also boasts a silent design for enhanced capture of the scene’s audio. What’s more, the stunning AF performance of this lens records excellent 4K video, where precise focusing is essential.

Nano Surface Coating Gives Superb Clarity
Put an end to unwanted ghosting and flaring – the Nano Surface Coating has been applied to lenses within the system. This special, ultra-thin coating was developed originally by Panasonic to reduce bothersome reflections across the entire light spectrum. The result: crystal-clear pictures even if you’re photographing a light source in the dark.

Tough Enough to Brave the Elements
Brave the elements in nearly any kind of weather or shooting location. This lens features a splash/dustproof construction* that is tough enough to withstand even heavy field use. It protects the lens system inside from sand, rain and more, making it perfect for shooting under harsh conditions. Now there is nothing holding you back from capturing the creative nature or landscape shots you want.

  • So tempted. Does it suffer from purple fringing on Olympus bodies? I have an EM1.2

    • +1

Why? 12-40mm pro is $600, either that or just go for gold and get 12-100mm f4.

      • I read a review that this is better than Oly 12-40mm f/2.8
but I would prefer the Oly 12-40mm - for its price, appearance and focal length

        • +1

Optically they’re very similar, you wouldn’t go wrong with either lens. Oly has the better design with the stepped focus ring and nicer feeling build quality. As you have an Olympus body, you can also make use of the function button on the Oly lens

        • @freakthe

I've got a Pan 42.5 f1.7 and the Oly 40-150 f2.8. The 12-100 would not benefit my needs.

        • @Fuchal: I was looking for 42.5 1.7 but ryda and others were out of stock on ebay. Is it worth getting?

        • @Gandalf the Thrifty:

It is a great little portrait lens, and also find I use it more than I thought for street (buildings and architecture) and landscape work. Light, fast, and surprisingly sharper into the corners than you'd expect. Think I got mine for around $300 off gumtree.

        • @hotsauce26: You can use the Oly Fn buttons on the Pana cameras. It was in one of the GH5 firmware updates late last year and has been included in subsequent body releases (G9 etc).

        • @Fuchal:

          f4……

      • @Fullhalter

Have considered it. The 12-35 is a tiny bit smaller and lighter. Plus it has stabilisation which my son could take advantage of with his Pana G7 body.

  • +1

Bought the GH5 from them and came with this lens and $2.6k after eBay plus code.

With Pana cams you get dual IS on this
