The plastic tabs (on the cutting element & comb) that hold them to the base unit are quite chincy and prone to break. If you get one, be surgical when changing attachments and/or cleaning the unit. Vacuum performance is only average as you'd expect.

    • Worth the extra few dollars over the 3 series?

    • One of the plastic tabs on the last one I bought bent within a few months. Still works and I still think it's a great trimmer. But now I'm thinking about buying another one because I can't find a replacement blade and I assume a blade replacement would be more than $50.

      • You know warranty? You know consumer rights? They say hi.

  • Can shave heads too or not?

Probably not designed to handle that amount of hair.

    Can this be used downstairs?

I enquired recently at Shaver Shop and the guy said yes, however the head is a fairly square flat surface so is a bit tough to get in the cracks and grooves.

      • Gutsy asking the guy so have a + vote.

a bit tough to get in the cracks and grooves

May require some gymnastic manoeuvres or help from a friend, or both.

I use mine in the way to work.

        Other busriders hate it.

Reminds me of those ads you see

          "Shaving companies hate him!!!"

  • Thanks OP - Been looking at getting a new one for a while and couldn’t resist this price!

The plastic tab at the end of the blade attachment broke and it became unusable in less than a year. Vacuum doesn't work very well as well as it leaves hair all around the basin. Avoid.

    • yeah, with that dodgy blade I imagine it isn't too gentle around the crack either

  • Have been using this for a while and the only negative is the vacuum. I would say it catches about 25% of the hair, but otherwise a decent shave.

    • So I guess the vacuum thing is more like a gimmick hey

I have this and really like it, but only for shorter beards. If I haven't shaved in several days, I use this to prepare my skin for a close shave with my normal shaver.
Works reasonably well at vacuuming the hair. I would say picks up 80-90% for me, but longer hair (more than 3-4mm) it will pick up more like 50% and the blade gets clogged with longer hair too.

    • Plus 1 for me to write week for my side burns.
