    • Even I want to pay for $99 delivery it doesn't ship to my WA metro address?

  • sh1t - was in stock and then out of stock when I went to order - 49 delivery GOOD ONE!

    • what were you trying to get…? i was able to choose c&c on some stuff delivery on others.
for some reason the maxxis re-fuse tyres were coming up as a bulky item with high shipping despite being foldable?

      • +1

Was trying to get the re-fuse tyres from my local store - Can get 1 tyre, but not 2 - seems they only have one in stock, and not really keen to go driving around picking up single tyres :P

        • damn…i was lucky that my local had a pair of the refuse there. had to get the crossmarks delivered…but only $8
pretty good day for rubber…got some for the 700c & the 26" ride :)

    • @mikaelkn Great spotting. Excellent price, even has disc brakes. Worthy of a seperate post I'd say

      • The worst disk brakes

$100 shipping for a pair of folded tyres!

    • i was also getting high shipping on the re-fuse tyres…60-90
i figure its an error because they clearly are not bulky items…look around you for local stock. bound to be some nearby or call up rebel & confirm shipping before they sell out everywhere & theyre not available anymore

I dropped into the Bourke st store and got a set of Detonators. The guy that served me said they hadn't done a stock take yet.
It might be worth a visit to your local on the chance they have unlisted stock

Issue with the merchant: I have things in my cart, when I go to pay, even though all things are listed as in stock, it says that some items in my cart are not in stock without specifying which items.

    • Yeah, I am having the same issue and no idea how to resolve it or identify which item is not in stock - I even tried checking each item individually and adding them to cart again but no dice.

    • +1

Had same issues months before. I hazard a guess their webdevelopment team are busy working out or training, no time to work out the inventory count issues. Being an activewear store and all…

Damn, my tire size is 700x23C, they don't have them. I thought it was one of the more common road bike sizes.

    • +1

That's probably why they no longer have any!

      • I was thinking I would still see it, but they would be sold out. But maybe they remove the listing altogether.

  • +2

Oddly if I add a small, lightweight item to my basket my shipping jumps to $25. If I remove it I can add a fairly heavy and bulky item for no increase.
Do they just make the shipping up?

    • It must cross a certain weight/volume treshhold as shipping will be auto calculated (so in other words it will be integrated into a shipper's system)

      • That would be logical, but when I removed two inner tubes from my basket and then added a U-lock and cable, the delivery fee dropped from $25 to $15.

website is a joke, put numerous items in cart to be told items in my card are unavailable

  • Can't login! Shame. Tried two password resets, keeps saying "Sorry, this does not match our records. Check your spelling and try again."

    • yeh ive had mainly crap experiences with the rebel site & logging in
next time you make an order you can auto create a new working account just by specifying a password at the very final screen of checkout…did this yesterday and im having no dramas logging…cant see all my orders but at least i can login now! :P

Ended up getting some great deals on accessories, the BBB Cork Bar Tape has particularly positive reviews, as well as the U Shaped Lock. Took some fiddling to get the order through, had to cancel some 'Bike Covers'. I think the issue is that some stores do not do store transfers within the Rebel Sports Supply Chain Network and if the stock is only available there, it cannot be shipped out for home Delivery to other areas. So in one way the stock is 'available' but only for in store pick up. Either way, happy to get the order through. Rebel… get your inventory and web teams on to this :P

  • I need to change my bike tyres , the one that I have currently is 700cm x 23. Would the 700cm x 28cm be compatible?
I am also thinking of changing the tubes , my bike has a 700 x 18/25C. which of the tubes would be a best fit?
Thanks in advance for your help

    • Depends on your wheel rim and clearance on the fork and frame. However, in most cases, bicycles wheels and frames that will take x23C tyres will fit a x28C; usually it is only around x32C upwards that clearance will become an issues. I also have run 25C tubes on a x28C tyres without any issues.

  • Thanks Scotty, got some cheap bike tools etc. Local store rang to tell me 1 item was out of stock, no big deal, as the rest (10 items) were very cheap.

  • Its online order is a total disaster! Went through all items and put them into cart. Last step pay now redirects me to some items are not available. Went to remove those items 1 by 1 trial and error and stil get this items are not available error. None of these bike stuff is available in store in WA. It is just waiting for Amazon to kill it slowly I guess.

$60 dollar shipping for $30 dollars of folded tyres. Just wasted my time there…

  • Try making your purchases on Rebel Sports Ebay instead. I managed to snap up some kids helmets, 26" bike tyres and a kids bmx bike all for $5 delivery only in Brisbane. I was quoted $99 for delivery on the Rebel Sports normal website for a similar list of items, which was ridiculous. Some items were coming up as not in stock on the checkout screen on the normal Rebel website when they were showing in stock prior to the checkout screen, as reported by the other users. Be aware not all items are available on the ebay site, but I still managed to find some of the bargain items I was after.

  • I messaged Customer Support regarding a $99 delivery fee for a rear rack. They replied within a day and confirmed that it was not an error as it was a bulky item.
Helpfully, they informed me where in the state the item is in stock. Nowhere close enough to me to make it a bargain if I have to drive there to fetch it though.
