      let me elaborate…one hand needs to grab onto a layer and rotate in one direction, while the other hand needs to grab onto the remaining layers and rotate it in the opposite direction lol

    The official Rubik's cubes are the worst that you could buy. Even this cheapo nameless brand is better.

    Sure this cube will do the trick, if you are a beginner.

    When it comes to cubing, Rubiks branded cubes are certainly not the benchmark for quality.
    Don't get me wrong, they are a good beginner cube, but there are much better quality cubes on the market.

    Cyclone Boys, MoFang, Gan356 (Premium cube) and my current cube the MoYu Hualong.

    I'd check out SpeedCube, if you seriously considering getting a cube :)
