        • Yeah I bought 55 inches tv even before I could get flybuys points..

      • +4

What do you think is sold on eBay?

      • +1

        A tv?

      • +1

        …REALLY nice cats are expensive!

      • You do need to be careful but have more rights as a buyer on ebay then the seller does.

But at the moment too many good discounts to be had on ebay with the Amazon compitition.

I bought a $4k coffee machine on ebay with make an offer with CR 11% off, 5% woolies discount, CR 1% plus Frequent Flyer, Flybuys and Credit card points why would you buy direct.

        • How do you earn frequent flyers + flybuys at the same time?

      • What? Bose soundbar and sub. 2k right there.
        From? From authorised resellers

    • +2

I spent double that getting a 65" oled last week too

Exclude all items sold by the following sellers: Woolworths Supermarkets; Dan Murphy's; Big W; Cellarmasters; WineMarket.

      Already posted in description

    • That's a bit rough excluding their primary competitor.

  • What would be stopping someone selling something (intangible) for $5k if they have a one of the "list and sell free" offers and buying it with another account to gain the 50,000 points, Some rough calculations say it would cost about $150 in Paypal fees but get about $750 (assuming 1.5c/point) in Flybuys points. I don't have a spare 5K laying around so won't be doing it but just wondering if it would actually be that easy to game.

    • It's 25,000 points, not 50,000 points FYI. This 10x points promo = 5 points per $.

But to be honest, I don't think anything stops you from doing that, just depends if you want to go through with all of it

am I reading this bit wrong?

10x POINTS equals 1 standard flybuys point plus 9 flybuys BONUS POINTS per $1 spent.

        • If your account isn't part of eBay plus it earns 1 point per $2, so 5 points per $ with this promotion

        • +1

          You’re both right.

What doweyy says is true, unless you’re an eBay Plus member, it is usually 1 point earned per $2 spent as per the flybuys terms.

The terms of this particular offer however, suggest that you will earn 10 points per $1 spent.

I think flybuys and eBay got their wires crossed on this occasion.

The same thing that general stops most people from committing fraud - morals.

    Since when does a flybuys point = 1.5c. it's more like 0.5c

    • Still gets ahead. $150 for $250 in points.

      • What's the flybuys maximums on this offer?

Looks like Max is 5000 points!

        • According to the post it's

Up to 50,000 points can be earned per transaction

sounds like you could do multiple.

        • @tryagain:
When I click the link the T&C says Max is 5000 could be the standard flybuys offer.

    • Since when does a flybuys point = 1.5c. it's more like 0.5c

TBH, I have no idea what they are worth, I did a quick search and found this post so guessed about 1.5c

Read the comment on that link.
        4000 points ($20 worth)
So 0.5c per points is correct

        • that it does, brain fart on my behalf.

        • @tryagain:
Still pretty good bullet proof $100 profit unless it is against flybuys.
Thanks for bring it up. I shall try by tomorrow morning.

  • Just installed the app but no offer for me :(

    • I never get offers of flybuys

  • +3

I think everyone is tripping here.

1000 flybuys points is to $5 in store, therefore, 1 point is 0.5c.
50,000 points will be only $250.
If you can do final fee free on Ebay, u can still make $100 profit.

Also if your ebay account is not prime, U wont get 50k points but 25k due to points per $2.

Dare to say that this offer is only targeted to Ebay Plus members!

  • If I do 10 transactions, does that mean I can get 50,000 x 10?

    So 500,000 points?
