Cheapest I have seen it. Many Euro performance shops do recommend LiquiMoly or Motul .
I myself chose the express postage option due to the sellers standard free shipping to be Fastway Couriers. Which I tend to avoid at all costs.

Seems very expensive for only a low spec MB229.31 oil. Penrite MB 229.51 oils are usually half this price and its a way better spec.

    • Yep, may not be the best option for every owner. However I know toptec 4200 is hugely popular amongst VW/Audi Tdi owners.

    • Used in my Audi V8, recommended by mechanic.

Castrol Edge 5W-30 is same spec. Comes regularly @$30 for 5L.

  • July is title improvement month.

    • In future, please mention the store/retailer in the title.

That's been fixed. Moderators and power users spend time fixing titles throughout the day and any help is appreciated. Thanks for posting!

  • How does this compare to the Edge 5W30 LL - VW 507 DPF approved? I think that's the one that the dealers use for Audi/VW (although it's marketed as Longlife III for the OEMs)

  • Caution using Sparesbox. I placed an order over 3 weeks ago and they have lied in 6 emails over that time saying each time that my item just rearrived in there warehouse and would be sent that day. I'm still waiting for a track number or delivery.

  • I too had issues with Sparesbox and advertised stock they did not have. Ultimately turned out OK with an alternate more expensive product supplied at the same price but it setback my car service plans. Expect they have plenty of oil available but as pointed out above much there are better oil buys to be had unless you have found that this particular oil works best for you (not consumed at the same rate as others in your oil burner).
