My local coles did not have $50 netflix cards but instead had $20 ones so got 3 of those. Paid using egift card at self-checkout without any issue

That's not going to get you 2000 points if that's what you were hoping for just because you spent $50+ on Netflix gift cards at Coles

…wait a minute, but it's showed in the catalogue collect 2000 bonus points when you spend $50 or more.

@lokesh7: Ah, good point; all about wording. Let us know if you get the points!

        •

@lokesh7: why do you even bother to waste your time to call and argue about some wording? Why do you even bother to take the risk? Just go to other shop to buy the $50 card.

        •

@samehada: I am actually quite confident that I will get the credit automatically without any fight but if I need to I will send them an email with and i am sure it will be less of an hassle then driving to other stores looking for $50 netflix gift cards

You only can contact FlyBuy via phone, not via email.

        •

@andylch: news to me. I have contacted them via email last year for another flybuy issue. They must have changed procces since then

        •

@lokesh7: good to know if it works, pls report back after tonight if the points really kick in.

@andylch: You can contact them on Facebook Messenger as well.

    •

Did you get your points? I bought the $50 card but we decided not to activate until we saw the points, if they screwed us around I was going to return the card.

      •

No i have not gotten the points yet. When did you buy your card?

        •

We bought ours on the first day of the promotion and had the points two days later.

        •

So a 3*$20 purchase does not work.I would never risk doing so.Even you contact them to get it in the end,not worth that much efforts though.

Gift card can not be returned. The bonus points is set in the system based on the product barcode on the top right corner. So if you buy the card that is less than $50, i.e 3x $20 you will not get the bonus points.

Unless you want to call them to argue about the wording in T&C and at their mercy for goodwill credit, you'd better just buy the right card.

      •

It's Sunday 29th now. My account says points were added on the 25th (that's probably when I bought it)

        •

transaction will appear the next day with your "Purchase date" and the "Processing date" when they add the bonus points

Anyone in WA (SOR) manage to find Netflix gift cards? Cockburn doesnt have Netflix, Ebay cards…

    • +2 votes

Yeah, I saw Netflix ones at Coles Subiaco. I couldn't find eBay one at Subiaco though but I took one from Woolworths and went to Coles to scan/pay for it. But it couldn't read the barcode as it was unknown. Attendants tried checking it out and told me that eBay gift card is not in their system. In-store they had promotional images of the gift cards including eBay for the Fly Buy bonus points. I didn't ask any further about why it is not in their system and bought another gift card instead.

This was working before. May be Coles has tailor made a new batch of eBay giftcards? The bar code format may be different now?

      •

It is completely different product code even with different design, the Coles batch product code is in different location and with different number of WW one.

I just got my 50+2000 points the next day after buying a $50 eBay Gift card.

Buying giftcards at Coles paying with giftcards can e a hit or miss experience.I have been refused payment byuying a Bunnings giftcard with a Coles giftcard several times. One (Superhero)staff member even pointed out the fine print on the back of the coles giftcard clearly stating that you cannot use a gftcard to buy another giftcard.
I then went to another store and it wasn't a problem

  •

Does anyone know if you can use the ebay card to buy another gift card on ebay such as jbhifi?

    •

yes and no, if it is listed under gift card category then NO. Also beware of scammer as well, some ppl already got cheated for buying gc on ebay. If you want to buy from the Paypal-digital-gc seller then NO, you can't because it is listed under gc category, you used to be able to buy it but not any more.

  •

Sydneysiders who bought eBay gift card from Coles - from which Coles did you buy it? I couldn't find it in Ryde Coles where I went yesterday. They don't stock eBay cards.

  •

The website page (link in the deal) has a statement: "Promotional prices not available at Coles Express (unless otherwise indicated) or Coles Melbourne CBD. Some promotional prices may not be available at coles.com.au, Coles Coburg North or Coles Clyde North. Refer to catalogue for full terms and conditions."

Just wondering if someone purchased their cards from CBD stores (Elizabeth Street or Melbourne Central) and faced any issues with the points?

Today I learned that you can't apply Australian Netflix cards to "US based" accounts :( shouldn't have activated my PS+ credit so fast.

Anyone been credited the bonus points?
