I have this one in its original box in a drawer somewhere, i think.

      I really should wear it shoudn't i?

      • Yes, yes you should!

      • +2

No you should not. The seconds hand is the wrong colour.

        • Yes, that is one particular fault with it.

        • @AngryChicken: An insuperable fault, though I am unsure which subdial is for seconds.

    • +1

I have this one - but I only paid a little over $200 for it from StarBuy a year or 2 ago.

    • +1

I don't like the Citizen "Super" Titanium finish, I prefer the natural look.
So I have this Euro blue Nighthawk Ti as my daily driver. I love it… http://www.larrybiggs.net/scwf/images/com/photobucket/img/9b…

    Super? Titanium….?

    • Yup!

Crafted from super high grade 1000-1200Hv Super Titanium

1000Hv is 1/10th the hardness of diamond!

    • +1

Its a coating they put on the titanium to make it resistant to scratches. It works, but I much prefer the raw titanium finish. Raw Ti does scratch easily, but you can just buff out the scratches with a scotchbrite pad.

      • +2

        Everyone prefers raw.

    • +1

      Hey, mine's got it!

Citizen’s new technology, a combination of Titanium and Ion Plating (Ti+IP), rates 1200 on the Vickers scale - 5 times stronger than Stainless Steel

      Wow, that gets me hard…

    Blue version sold out!

Btw I've bought two watches from Starbuy and highly recommend them.

    • +2

Indeed! My go-to place for watch purchases :)

      • I might call them and see if there's any chance they'll be able to get the Prospex Blue Lagoon (thought they're pretty much sold out everywhere..)

  • +2

They've changed the price on a few of the watches…

    Yesterday, this was $139: https://www.starbuy.com.au/citizen-mens-eco-drive-leather-st…

    Tut tut!

    • +1

For those wondering, it is now $169.

      • My bad. Should've put that in. Thanks though!

    • Yeah it's definitely worth regular checking on prices for fluctuations.
A Seiko Le Grand I bought last month has had a couple fluctuations since and is currently $110 more than I paid yet - they're still well under the price of other regular jewellers.

    • +1

@Munki. Hi there. Re our price change, StarBuy operate a deep discount model and our aim is always to be the lowest price. We have 2 sales every week (Tuesday and Friday) and we lower our prices even further for those sales. The watch that you are referring to was on sale when you saw it at $139.

      Thanks

      • Hi Star Jewels, may I know if you will be restocking this watch soon at the same price? Thank you!

        • @russbuss: Depending on the model you're interested in, as I mentioned earlier keep regular checks. I bought mine in June For $289; it went up to $399. Think it went back down, then up again and then a month later after my buy one night I saw it was at $399. Very next morning back to $289 and a friend bought one too. Currently back to $399..

I think though some watches are discontinued models (even though most jewellers still charge RRP) so need to be wary that when gone, they are gone.

Great deal and a beautiful timepiece.

    • Certainly is!

  • Do you think the Starbuy Ebay store will drop their price? So that we can also stack coupons

    • Not too sure about that…

Isn't this the wrong nerd ?

Are you and WatchNerd brothers or cousins LOL? Always one upping one another with Watch deals!!!

        We need a BookNerd.

        • +2

          I want a XiaomiNerd.

        • @Scab: I want a ScabNerd.

  • How effective is the water resistance in this? Would I be able to wear it into the ocean? Will it survive if I forget to take it off before showering?

  • Bought one last night. First time buying a watch outside of a Fitbit and Nike. I'm putting a lot of trust on the experts of Ozbargain here.

    • You won't be disappointed.
Congrats on your purchase. It's an excellent horological masterpiece. I can personally vouch for it, being an owner of one of them!
From here on, you can then expand your Citizen collection.

      • Thank you. The watch was ready to be picked up before lunch. Coworkers complimenting me on the new purchase. Good experience so far. Looking forward to more sales in the future.

        • That's great to hear, thanks for the feedback. I'm sure you had a splendid transaction with Starbuy.
