My one has a spring loaded clamp bit for both the vent and the phone so it should clamp very tightly.

I have this holder and I find that it isn't an issue of clamping force (it is quite strong). Instead, it is more about the fact that the clamp has to clip onto a grill that was not necessarily designed to have something mounted onto it and it may slip off as the vent may be too wide/not wide enough/too much of a gap between vents etc. For me, I can't use this clamp on either my wife's car or my own. Needless to say, this may not be true for everyone.
Instead I have found those rubber suction holders (attached to the windscreen) to be much much better.

I have this version and the one in the deal above. I cannot stress how much better the spring loaded clamp model is compared with the tri-prong version.
I find the tri-prong model doesn't sit firmly enough in the air vent, and the phone rotates (due to uncentred weight); no such issue with the clamping model.
So are you saying the Ebay version is better? I am having a blonde moment.

@ccrap: The ebay one rotates, but from the pictures, I don't think it tilts - unlike the Zapals one.
Anyone have a solution for the rotating vents. Mine locks in but then rotates the phone with the vent

I am getting USD 2.96 for shipping and Handling as well. supasaiyan's $0.77 shipping and handling appears to be the pre-coupon shipping fee. Amazing that he's managed to get the pre-coupon shipping fee after applying the coupon. Zapals has tried to rationalise it by saying the increase in shipping fees prevents fake orders. They must have been swamped by one of their previous $0.99 giveaways.
I'm still snarkling over how GST is added after postage on all sites :-/ It brought it up to $0.27!
